Pardon My Dust (New Hosting and a Possible New Look?)

Just so you all know, I’ve switched over to hosting by the lovely and amazingly talented Ashley over at Nose Graze. I was already using a lot of her products (UBB and the Tweak Me Theme – if you don’t know about these, you should definitely check them out!), and I love them all, so when I was having problems with reliability with my hosting company, my husband and I decided to look into her services. Now, I have to say that I am QUITE lucky to have a techie for a husband (how do the rest of you do it?), but he’s very happy to pass off most of the technical duties to Ashley and let her take care of it all so I can stop bugging him. 🙂

Ashley has already made the process nearly seamless, but there MAY be some minor glitches over the next few days as we get things sorted out. If you notice something off about the site, feel free to bring it to my attention!!

One bonus – I’ve already noticed that my Twitter button at the bottom of my posts is now working – I don’t know what Ashley did, but I’ve been trying for weeks to get that fixed and couldn’t figure it out! Over the next few weeks, I’ll probably be making some other changes to the site – adding a few UBB add-ons to make my life easier and hopefully even unveiling a new look. Tabitha over at Not Yet Read drew me an awesome design for my header that I LOVE and we’re working on getting someone to digitize it and color it for us. I’m SO excited about it, but I haven’t mentioned it yet because there’s still a chance it won’t work out for one reason or another. Crossing my fingers …

  1. I’ve been using Ashley’s hosting since March, Nicole, and I am SO happy! Everything works, and my site is a lot faster than it used to be. And isn’t the UBB the best ever? So many things to make our lives easier.
*crosses fingers for new header* I hope your new header will be digitalized and colored to your liking.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

    • Thanks so much! I picked a bad time to switch over to Ashley since she was going on vacation (and I waited until JUST before my old hosting was about to expire), so I’m just now getting some things working – including replying to comments! Ha! But Ashley has been great – it took her no time at all to figure out the problem that I’d been puzzling over all week!

    • Didn’t realize until this week that you used Ashley! She is fantastic! Of course, I probably shouldn’t have waited until my old hosting was about to disappear – I had to switch over just as Ashley was going on vacation, so my replying hasn’t been working all week!

  2. That sounds awesome! I can’t wait to see your new header design!

I’ve thought about moving over to Ashley’s hosting for my own blog. But the thought of getting it all transferred, and making the URL work and figuring out how to log into my site and all sounds scary. *laughs*
