August Random Read – Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder

It’s time for my August Random Read (a fun meme hosted by I’m Loving Books). The idea is to pick one random book out of your Goodreads To-Read list (using Random.org) to read within the month.

As I mention every month, I am in love with this meme!  This is such a great way to make sure that I actually read some of those books that have been in my TBR list for eons.

Last month’s random pick was Thorn Queen by Richelle Mead – I just managed to review it yesterday and loved it! (Click on the link to read my review.) Random.org was good to me once again!

And this month’s winner is…

Inside Out (Insider, #1)#171 – Inside Out by Maria V. Snyder

Synopsis:
Keep Your Head Down.
Don’t Get Noticed.
Or Else.

I’m Trella. I’m a scrub. A nobody. One of thousands who work the lower levels, keeping Inside clean for the Uppers. I’ve got one friend, do my job and try to avoid the Pop Cops. So what if I occasionally use the pipes to sneak around the Upper levels? The only neck at risk is my own…until I accidentally start a rebellion and become the go-to girl to lead a revolution.

I honestly don’t remember adding this book to my TBR list, but according to Goodreads I added it in December 2012. My how my TBR list has grown since I’ve started blogging.  I can’t believe that it was only at 171 books in 2012 and now I’ve got 661 books on the list!!  Just goes to show there are LOTS of good books out there.

At any rate, I’m pretty excited about this Random Read – even though I don’t remember adding this book to my list, it seems to be right up my alley!  I’ll let you know how it turns out!

  1. I haven't heard of this meme before. So do you choose books that you actually already own, or just books you want to read that you go out and get after being chosen? If they're books you already own, dang! 661 books?! I can't even IMAGINE! I mean, surely most of those are electronic books but still. I would be overwhelmed having to choose a book when there are that many to choose from. This sounds like the perfect meme for you, and I'm glad Random.org is being good to you 😉

  2. Lucky pick by Random! I loved this when I read it, I really need to pick up the next book soon. Looking forward to hearing what you think of it 🙂
