The New Look!

Feed Your Fiction Addiction has a new look (and a new URL)!

You may have noticed that things look a little different here at FYFA. That’s because I switched over to WordPress! The formatting may still be changing a bit as I work out the kinks and figure out what I do and don’t like. Also, you’ll notice that my older posts are looking a bit bereft – all of my comments are missing!  I’m working on getting my Intense Debate comments moved over, but so far I haven’t had any luck – Ugh! I’m honestly starting to lose hope, but I’m still trying!

If you have any feedback about the new format, feel free to share!  Anything you can’t find? Something you’re not crazy about? A new feature you love?

Let me know!!

    • I have to admit that my husband did a lot of the technical stuff for me. He works in IT, so it wasn’t too much of a challenge for him, but there have been some frustrations (such as the fact that I can’t seem to get my comments moved over from IntenseDebate). I didn’t lose any posts or anything, though!

    • The comments issue was just because I was using IntenseDebate. I honestly don’t think I’m going to get them onto the new site, which is a bit frustrating, but I guess I’ll have to live with it.

Awesome! Love the new (but still similar) look. It looks like the old style, but with a cleaner look.

I have no clue about the comments problem, but I hope you are able to figure it out.

How are you liking WordPress so far?? I’ve considered moving over from Blogger, but the free version seems very limited and I’m too cheap to pay for my blog! Haha!

    • Yeah, I think if you’re going to stick with the free version there’s no reason to move. I think the beneficial features of WP are pretty much all in the pay version.

  2. I love the looks of your new site! I am also using the Tweak Me theme on my blog, it’s awesome isn’t it?
I am sorry to hear you lost your comments on your older posts though, that must suck. I’ve had some issues when I switched as well, I used a plugin that should direct any old url to the new corresponding ulr on the new blog, but it didn’t work and just send you to the home page. Eventually I stopped trying to fix it. i hope you can fix your issue and get your old comments back!

Love the look! I’ve considered using WordPress, but don’t want to loose any followers who don’t want to move over! It’s always an inner battle though when I see awesome blogs like this! Haha! 🙂
