  • Unhinged by A.G. Howard | Review | Rating: 4/5
And December’s Best of the Bunch winner is:

Okay, well this month would be a tough choice between This Shattered World and Grave Mercy, but I actually read This Shattered World and did a mini-review back in June and already used it for my Best of the Bunch then. So, this month, I chose Grave Mercy!

Why be the sheep, when you can be the wolf?

Seventeen-year-old Ismae escapes from the brutality of an arranged marriage into the sanctuary of the convent of St. Mortain, where the sisters still serve the gods of old. Here she learns that the god of Death Himself has blessed her with dangerous gifts—and a violent destiny. If she chooses to stay at the convent, she will be trained as an assassin and serve as a handmaiden to Death. To claim her new life, she must destroy the lives of others.

Ismae’s most important assignment takes her straight into the high court of Brittany—where she finds herself woefully under prepared—not only for the deadly games of intrigue and treason, but for the impossible choices she must make. For how can she deliver Death’s vengeance upon a target who, against her will, has stolen her heart?

 My Review
So, that was my December in a nutshell! Tell me about your month!

  1. Well, now you are making me want to buy Grave Mercy! I resisted when I read your review, since I had supposedly won it, but since that was like, a month ago and it still isn’t here, AND it is $1.99 again so… yeah, I just bought it. I also really want to read Fangirl (coming soon in my Book Outlet order, yay!) and I agree with your thoughts on Captive too!

I am so glad you had a wonderful Christmas, and thanks for mentioning my post!
