Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is:

Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree This Year

Really, I need to read all of the books I already own, but of course that doesn’t stop me from wanting more. A lot of these are books that were big this year that I missed.

Santa-Books

(Links go to Goodreads)

1. Unbound by Neal Shusterman

A book of short stories that take place in the world of Unwind. Yep, sign me up!

2. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Pssst … here’s a secret. I happen to know that Santa (AKA my mom) IS giving me this book for Christmas. Guess it’s not much of a secret since I was there when we bought it. In fact, I paid for it since I have a Target card and get 5% back and I owe her money anyway. LOL!

3. Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I NEED to join the rest of the known universe and read this book. Maybe owning it will help?

4. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia

The reviews of this one make it sound amazingly strange and wonderful!

5. Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino

Another one that won me over due to reviews. I wasn’t sure about it when I first saw it, but everyone’s raves have convinced me.

6. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

Everyone raves about Stiefvater, but I still haven’t read her. Santa could take care of that.

7. Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson

I don’t know why I haven’t picked this one up yet – it sounds perfect for me!

8. Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman

This is the first Western I’ve really been interested in. It sounds fantastic!

9. Fool’s Quest by Robin Hobb

Confession time. I had this book out from the library for WAY longer than I should have and I STILL didn’t manage to read it. Sigh. I love this series, but the book is so huge and I had review books I needed to read and … Yeah, you get the idea.

10. The Accident Season by Moira Fowley-Doyle

This one didn’t catch my eye at all until the reviews started coming in. I don’t know why. I mean, read that synopsis and tell me you’re not intrigued.

What books are you wishing for this year? I want to know!

  1. Oh gosh a huge YES to Vengeance Road! That is one of my favorite books of the year! Also, how funny about Six of Crows! I didn’t end up putting on my list because my parents also got it for me! It’s not a secret for me either since I put the books in the Amazon cart for my mom. Haha. I hope you get all of these Nicole!

  2. I will ask Santa to pretty-please get you Throne of Glass so you can read it and LOVE IT as much as I do and then we can have a nice long chat about it and I can feel gleeful as you marathon the rest of the series LOL! Oh and the same goes for Raven Boys^^ YOU NEED THOSE BOOKS NICOLE XD I wouldn’t mind vengeance road myself – oh and the time to read Walk on Earth a Stranger and Six of Crows haha! Awesome selection here, I hope you find these under your tree this year ♥ Happy holidays xxx

  3. The Raven Boys is a must read. The series is so atmospheric and has such a wonderful cast of characters. I’ve still not read the Throne of Glass series but I’ve decided to wait until all the books come out so I can binge read them in one sitting. Plus maybe by then my expectations won’t be as high cause the hype surrounding this series is insane.

  4. Vengeance Road was good, I didn’t love it as much as some did but it was still good. I liked the MC a lot, she didn’t mess around! And Robin Hobb I’ve always enjoyed, especially the Fitz books- although I haven’t started this latest series yet.

  5. I totally understand wanting more books even though we have enough to be getting on with! I also have Made You Up on my list this week. Fingers crossed that we both get a copy!

  6. Hi Nicole! I have to say, I’m super glad to meet another late comer to the “Throne of Glass” world. I feel so left out in this bookish universe (though I have no excuse since I own a copy). Here’s hoping we both get to that epic-sounding series in 2016. 🙂

Nice to meet you (my family was a homeschooling family too) and thanks so much for visiting Dreaming Under the Same Moon. I appreciate you visiting. 🙂

Vengeance Road was a surprise to me. I absolutely hate westerns and a friend talked me into buddy reading it with her for a goodreads challenge. I loved it, gave it 5 stars.

  8. I was not a big fan of Maggie Stiefvater’s The Wolfs of Mercy Falls series, but The Raven Boys pleasantly surprised me! For some reason though I haven’t continued with the series eventhough I read it almost 2 years ago… Gotta change that!

  9. Oh i’ve not heard of some of these before! I’ll need to check them out 😉 BUT WALK ON EARTH A STRANGER IS DEFINITELY ON MY LIST OF BOOKS TO OWN! I read it from the library and really want it on my shelf, but alas… santa didn’t come through on that one lol xD Other books I want are- Illuminae, The Raven Cycle, some contemporary YA romances haha

Did you end up getting any of your books under the christmas tree?
