Sunday Post & Giveaways Galore – 4/10/16

Posted April 10, 2016 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 21 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

Last two weeks on FYFA (and in my life):

Busy week around here! We’re coming up on the end of our homeschooling co-op year and we have our final performances next week. That means that we’ve been trying to get all the last minute things together. I also finished up a first edit of the new book I’ve been working on for author Jayden Abello. And as you can see, I’ve been back in the swing of things on the blog.

I also started going through my Bloglovin’ feed to clean things up again. It’s been a while since I updated it, and a lot of newer active followers weren’t in my Active Followers folder –  which is the folder I follow most closely. (If you’re curious about my system for organizing my Bloglovin’ feed, check out my post about that HERE.) I was also surprised to find that a few people I’ve been visiting for quite some time weren’t in there!! Just goes to show I need to stay more on top of actively managing my feed!

Here’s what you may have missed this past week:

And, while this wasn’t technically on my blog, Kissin’ Blue Karen is hosting the Monthly Wrap-up Round-up Giveaway this month, so head over there and check it out!

Next week on FYFA:

  • Gods of Anthem by Logan Keys – Audiobook Review
  • The Daydreamer Detective by SJ Pajonas – Review
  • Let’s Discuss – Something bookish! 🙂

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

  1. Ah, end of the school year! How exciting! 🙂 (not for me, because then Summer plans and what am I doing with them?) anyway

I need to go back through my feed and update a lot. I had them super organized but then went to just a general feed and now I have realized i am missing blogs? They are WAY DOWN on the feed haha

    Have a good week!

  2. OH GOOD! Jayden DID come to see you about editing! I had sent her your way, but I hadn’t checked in on her lately. That’s great! 🙂 Crazy that your co-op is so close to the end. Where is the time going? Will they be performing the play you wrote? I can’t wait to hear how it goes!

  3. Thank you so much for sharing my discussion! 🙂 I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Good luck with your homeschooling exams, I hope the kids will ace everything and you’ll be able to breathe easier for a while. I can’t imagine how hard this must be, homeschooling isn’t really common here, so I don’t know much about it, but it sounds like a) a lot of work; b) a lot of fun at the same time.

  4. Good luck with the performances! Hope that goes well. Thanks for the bite sized reviews- nice to see those. I’ve decided to hold off on Into the Dim after seeing some reviews, so it was nice to see your thoughts too. Romancing the Nerd sounds cute too- I almost skipped over it but then read your review and it does sound nice.

  5. Wow, plenty going on for you. Hope all goes smoothly! I love how you are so organized with your Bloglovin’ feed! I bow to your organizational skills. 🙂 I confess that I rarely (if ever) access my feed thru Bloglovin’ and instead just depend on emails, which can be overwhelming at times. How fun that you recognize blogger birthdays and blogoversaries. Defending Taylor looks good. I’ve only read one by Kenneally and it was such a surprise – in the very best way. I picked it up on a whim expecting something light and fluffy but got so much more. It was Breathe, Annie, Breathe and I was so impressed with it. I definitely need to read more from her next time I’m in the mood for YA.

  6. Ooh, good luck with your homeschooling thing!! And on editing. And omg you organise your bloglovin’ feed? *bows* Mine is SO MESSY that I just wait for the emails it sends me and don’t venture on there. ? I’m so shameful, hehe.
I hope you enjoy your new books and eeeep! Those look like SUCH good discussions to read. *clicks all the links*

  7. Jen

I can’t believe it’s almost the end of the school year. This year has seemed to fly by so fast. *cries* My oldest starts Kindergarten in the fall and I’m not ready for that huge step. I need to figure out how to slow down time lol!
Oh, I can’t wait to see what you think of Miranda Kenneally’s newest book. I haven’t read anything from her yet, but I see that so many people adore her writing.
And thank you for the birthday shout-out! *shares a piece of my chocolate peppermint cheesecake with you*
