For Review:
It’s been awhile since I’ve accepted any review requests from indie or self-published authors, and I felt like it was time. I’ve been missing out on some great books, so this week I got two self-pubbed and one from a smaller publisher (and then an Ellie Cahill book because – yay! Ellie Cahill!).
Purchased:
Saw the trailer for this movie, and now I just have to read the book! (I know, I’m way late to the game.)
Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

I hope you’ll enjoy Me Before You (tissues required). That book left such a profound mark on me.
Happy reading, Nicole!
I’m pretty sure I know what happens at the end, unfortunately based on part of a review I read – I’m still excited to read it, though.
Yay for Me Before You!!One of my favorites 🙂 enjoy your other new books and have a great week!!
I can’t wait to read it!
I’m glad you have a great time in AZ! I need a vacation!
I read Just A Few Inches a couple months ago and really liked it! It has a powerful message, for sure!
I saw it on your blog, actually, and that was one of the things that convinced me I wanted to read it!
Glad you took the time to enjoy AZ! Sometimes you just have to get away!
It was nice to relax for a while and enjoy time with my family!
Glad you had a good vacation and some nice family time. I really liked Me Before You (not so much the sequel)and it is a tissue read for sure. Have a great week!
Interesting that you didn’t love the sequel – that’s good to know.
I’m glad you took time off to just enjoy your vacation. Sometimes we need a break! 🙂
So true! We had a great time!
We all need a break sometimes!! Especially when on vacations! My “break” usually consists of me just scrolling through posts and marking ones I would want to read later on. Mostly reviews. I just want to stay on top of things, but I don’t want to do my usual commenting. So that’s a vacation for me!
Ooh nice! Those are all new to me! Hope you enjoy them all!!
Happy Reading!!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Ha! A commenting vacation, huh? I guess that works. 🙂
I don’t always do Sunday Post, but I’d imagine it would be weird to do it all the time and then stop one week. It’s good you were able take time away and just enjoy your vacation though! Glad Arizona was so fun.
-Lauren
Yeah, I never skip them, so it definitely felt weird.
I have Me Before You on my TBR for this month so I hope I will enjoy it. I hope you’ll be able to enjoy it a lot too when you get around to reading it. It’s something I want to do before I see the movie.
Yes, when I saw the trailer, I was like, “This looks like a fantastic movie!” And then I saw the title and realized what I’d been missing out on with the book!
Me Before You was so good! I cried so hard though. I am so excited for the movie.
I’m prepared to be eviscerated by the book, don’t worry.
I haven’t been accepting books from self-published authors either. Partially because I am limiting review books in general (It’s hard for me to blog to a reading schedule), and partially because it’s gotten messy in the past. But I have met some great self-published authors this way and would love to reconsider doing it in the future.
Yes, for a while I was just getting really overwhelmed with review books and couldn’t keep up. And I had a few self-pubbed books that were just not great quality, so those were the ones that got sacrificed first when I was being pickier. But I HAVE read some fantastic self-pubbed books so I hated to give up on them – I decided it was time to branch out a bit more again!
Thank you for sharing my post! Joining The Discussion Challenge has been one of the best blogging decisions I’ve made – I read so many great posts and got many thoughtful comments through it!
I haven’t read any Jojo Moyes books, either, I have to get to this one because I recently saw a very emotional review from a blogger I trust. 🙂 And I’m always up for a good romantic story. I hope you’ll enjoy it as well!
I’m way late to the game too, you aren’t alone! I’ve had Me Before You on my Kindle for…. hmmm…..forever lol, and I’ve never started it. I can’t wait to see what your thoughts are on the book!
