Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is:

Top Ten Most Anticipated Books of the Rest of 2016

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve participated in TTT, but I really wanted to feature some of the books I can’t WAIT for this year!!

Anticipated-2016-books

(Links go to Goodreads)

1. Scythe by Neal Shusterman

This has to be my most anticipated book of the year!! Neal Shusterman is a genius, and I can’t wait to read his next book.

2. Metaltown by Kristen Simmons

I picked this one up at BEA, and though I know very little about it, there’s something about this one that calls to me …

3. The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson

What can I even say about this book, except I NEED IT NOW!!! This is a close second to Scythe.

4.Frost Like Night by Sara Raasch

Even though I was a little disappointed in book two in this series, I’m still very excited for book three!

5.Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin

Another sequel that I’m desperate for. Luckily, I snagged this one at BEA, so I’m going to be reading it soon!

6. The Secret of a Heart Note by Stacey Lee

The Harper rep at BEA told me about this book, and it sounds like something I’d LOVE! I have this one from Edelweiss, so I’ll definitely be reading it!

7. Holding up the Universe by Jennifer Niven

Um, Jennifer Niven. Need I say more? Picked this up at BEA and got to chat with Niven. Best. Day. Ever. (By the way, in case you haven’t seen, I’m giving away a signed copy of this ARC HERE.)

8. Heartless by Marissa Meyer

Again, I hardly need to explain. If the hype around this book was any bigger it would explode! Happy I managed to pick this one up at BEA!

9. Replica by Lauren Oliver

The whole idea of a book you can read in different ways (reading Lyra’s story first, Gemma’s story first, or switching back and forth) SO intrigues me. I think I’m going to switch back and forth, how about you?

10. Witch’s Pyre by Josephine Angelini

This is another one where the second book let me down a bit – it was definitely a disappointment – but I’m hoping book three redeems this series that I loved so much at first!

I also have to mention a couple of books that I’ve already read that were FANTABULOUS! You should definitely be reading these:

Gemina2This-Savage-Song

What books are you looking forward to this year? I want to know!

I met Simmons last weekend. Very nice. I know, Metaltown just draws you in. I need to get Witch’s Pyre too.

  2. Okay first of all, this graphic is GORGEOUS. I just got Replica from B-Fest and can’t wait to see if it lives up to the hype (and hopefully doesn’t live up to the negative reviews I’ve seen). I also need to read Firewalker – I’ve been slacking. And I’m SO glad to hear that Gemina and This Savage Song were amazing because I’m ridiculously excited for their releases.

  3. Oooh Blood for Blood and Heartless both made my list! I just read Wolf by Wolf a couple of months ago and I loved it so much. And I am so glad you have read and loved Gemina. I am SO EXCITED about that one!!! Great list.

  4. I’ve not read a Neal Shusterman book but Scythe definitely has my attention so I’ll be sure to keep my eye out for that book.
Blood for Blood is definitely my most anticipated for the second half of the year. I am excited and terrified because I have no idea what to expect. I can’t predict anything that might possibly happen but my gut is telling my that Luka or Felix might be in danger after the big event.
I’ve just finished This Savage Song and once again Schwab delivers. 😀
