August Wrap-Up Round-Up Giveaway (with a new, interactive Make Me Read It twist)

Posted September 9, 2017 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Giveaways (Ended), Monthly Wrap-Up Round-Up / 14 Comments

I created this giveaway as a scavenger hunt to encourage people to visit people’s wrap-ups. There are entries for commenting on the wrap-up posts in the link-up.

The Link-Up

Check out the August wrap-up posts in the linky below. These are the posts that can be used for the giveaway. Didn’t have a chance to link up your August wrap-up post? That’s okay—you can still link up until the giveaway is over!

Giveaway

The giveaway is open to everyone! You don’t have to link up to the wrap-up round-up to be eligible.

This month I’m doing something a little different. I’m attending an event called the Novel Cuisine Luncheon on Sunday and I’m going to be donating almost all of my giveaway/trade books at the event. So, my giveaway/trade list would be pretty empty and you wouldn’t have much to choose from.

The Make Me Read It Giveaway

SO, I came up with a new giveaway idea: I’m calling it the Make Me Read It Giveaway. Instead of giving away books that I’ve already read, I made a list of (some of) the books on my shelves that I’ve been meaning to read for ages and haven’t gotten to. The winner will choose a book off the list that you want and I will give myself ONE WEEK to read it and then send it off to you. (If, by some chance, it is absolutely impossible for me to read the book in a week for one reason or another, I reserve the right to contact you and let you know that it will be a little later, but I will try my very hardest to stick to the one week deadline.)

More fun with this giveaway: If you would like (this is not required), we could then review the book together. You would just let me know that you want to do a dual review and then read the book in a reasonable amount of time (a week or two?). Then we can both review the book together and compare our thoughts and feelings. If you have your own blog, we could feature portions of the dual review on each blog, if you’d like. If you don’t have your own blog, you can just be a guest reviewer here at FYFA. Again, this is certainly not a requirement of winning, but I thought it would be a fun way to spice up the giveaway a little.

One little disclaimer about the giveaway: I’m not guaranteeing a certain format for this giveaway. Some of my books are ARCs, some are paperbacks and some are hardcovers—I’m not including the format in the list because I’m reserving the right to keep my own copy of the book if I absolutely adore it (and then I’ll buy you a copy and send it). If format is extremely important to you, let me know when you win, though, and I’ll see what I can do.

Check out the list below to see what books you can choose from if you’re the winner. Since I don’t want to leave my international readers out, the giveaway is open internationally as long as TBD ships to you (FYI, I will be sending the least expensive format available).

Clicking on the links in the list will bring you to the book in Goodreads.

  1. I love this giveaway idea – may have to steal it. If I’m the lucky winner, I would love to do a joint review! Now I need to peruse the list and see what I would pick. Not Bitter Greens or Readers of Broken Wheel, which I’ve already read (thumbs up on the first, down on the second). Thanks!

  2. Sometimes I just walk into my office/library and will take a handful of books and make myself read them or pass them on (unless of course they are series books that MUST be read in sequence). Or I’ll go to my Kindle and read for two weeks ONLY Netgalley books. It amazes me I can actually get through quite a few books this way and I often run across a read that I’ve forgotten about that was just as great as I expected it to be 9 months ago when I first read about it.
