September Wrap-Up & Best of the Bunch

Posted September 30, 2017 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Best of the Bunch, Monthly Recap / 30 Comments

My Goings On in September:

  • I went to the 6th Annual Novel Cuisine Luncheon. I never did end up writing a recap for the event, but it was lots of fun and there were plenty of fantastic books AND lots of fantastic food!
  • Our homeschool co-op is in full swing, so I’m now teaching four classes. Yikes! (I should point out that three of these classes only meet once a week, so it’s not as crazy as it sounds).

CHALLENGE GOAL ACHIEVED!

I reviewed nine fantasies this month (again, a few are more paranormal or sci-fi dystopian, but I’m counting them since it looks like the people who run the challenge count these types of books).

Still haven’t read any more of Alexa and Rachel’s favorites: The Winner’s Curse! I’m keeping the others here to remind me: Throne of Glass, The Girl of Fire and Thorns, Six of Crows, Graceling.

Your love for challenges has me thinking that I may join a few next year. I have never done one before, not even the Goodreads challenge. But you make it seem not as scary lol, and I’m already making a list of a few that I know I should be able to complete. ?

  2. One Dark Throne was so good. Blake is make some great decisions in those storylines and I am super excited for the next book. Good luck with the teaching. I taught Chemistry for 12 years (don’t miss it), it’s a tough job.

  3. Three Dark Crowns/ One Dark Throne are so rife for discussion, I’m not surprised those were your top posts! In fact I better revisit your ODT spoiler post to see all the latest theories. 🙂 And great job on the Flights of Fantasy challenge- I thought about doing that one this year.

That Bookopoly board looks awesome! Have a great week!

  4. Happy October 🙂 I’ve also signed up for the discussion challenge in today’s post 😀 I just have a question. Where do I look up my October discussions, when I post them? 😀

  5. You are doing so good in your challenges! I’ve only managed to complete two of my challenges so far. I’m trying to catch up on the others. You posted so many reviews in September, it seriously inspires me to get my butt in gear to work on those reviews I’ve been putting off.

I hope you have a wonderful October!

I also enjoy how well you are doing on your challenges and value your reviews to help me decide what to read/buy next. I recently finished my first Paula Stokes book (that took me way too long to start reading her work). Paula sent me a kindle copy of The Key to Everything for a review which I hope to post today. I’m not as involved in reading challenges, but I am enjoying all the debuts out this year for my Debut Author challenge.
