Sunday Post & Giveaways Galore – 9/10/17

Posted September 10, 2017 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 46 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Today I’m headed to the 6th Annual Novel Cuisine Luncheon, which is organized by author Liza Wiemer, Heidi Zweifel of YA Bibliophile and Jaime & Erin Arkin of Fiction FareI went to this event last year and it was tons of fun. They make all sorts of dishes from different books—it’s quite a spread! Plus, we can bring books to donate and/or trade, which my husband loves because that means two giant piles of books make their way out of our bedroom. (And I bring back way less than I donate—I promise!)

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Next week on FYFA:

Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, you can always fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book-Haul

Edelweiss:

It’s been a while since I’ve downloaded anything on NetGalley or Edelweiss (I got SO many books from ALA that I’m trying to resist getting more), but when I went to go add in my review of They Both Die at the End, of course I couldn’t help but take a look through what Harper’s got out there right now. I only downloaded three, though!

I’ve seen Release on several blogs recently and decided that I need to jump on this bandwagon. I need to read this one soon, since it’s a September release (no pun intended). I also downloaded Love, Life and the List because… Kasie West. (Need I say more?) And then I picked up Dare Mighty Things. Just because it looks awesome. (I’m right though, right?)

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Pre-Order Deals:

I’m now putting these in order of release date to make it easier on myself (and you, I think). Any new deals that I just added to the list this week will be denoted with a *** so you can easily find them!

Please note: Almost all pre-order giveaways run “while supplies last,” so I can’t guarantee that they’ll be open until the date listed. Pre-0rder early for your best chance to get all the goodies!

  1. Ooh, I hope you enjoy Release; I thought it was great! I’m super excited for Dare Mighty Things, but I haven’t seen too many reviews for it, so I can’t wait to see yours once you finish it! And thank you so much for linking back to my post; I think that one is one of my favorites to write! ❤️

  2. Have fun at the Novel Cuisine luncheon- sounds like lots of fun. You can’t go wrong with books and food right? 🙂

    Loved the Hitchhiker’s storyboard review!

  3. Aww the luncheon sounds so fun! I hope it was fabulous! I loooved Dare Mighty Things, so I hope you will too! Also, read it soon and then message me so we can talk about spoilery things because I have to talk to someone who read it haha. Release was really good too- though not my fave of his, still good. Are you auto-approved? I am so jealous of that, if you are. 😉 Also, all these pre-order offers make me want to buy ALL the books- you are bad for my wallet haha. And thanks for linking to the giveaway hop!!

  4. The luncheon sounds great fun. We tried to do something similar with my book club but it didn’t last long…maybe I’ll try and restart it as an annual event.

  5. Hey, did I comment on this yet or not? Sorry if I’m double commenting! Making my rounds late 😀
Thanks for sharing my post <3 I'm wondering now whether I should make it clear in my memes that "WHAT DO" is intentional wording 😀 I was wondering if that was obvious or if people just thought I can't talk 😀 what do you think?
Also, I've opened some of your reviews for later! Super curious. Been so busy this week, oh my gosh… at least I'm visiting everyone now 🙂

    • Hmmm… Honestly I’m not sure I even noticed that it actually said “What Do?” instead of “What Do I Do?” I’ll admit that I don’t quite know what it means the way you wrote it… I think people will probably assume it’s a mistake probably. Doesn’t mean you have to change it. It’s up to you!

Oh my gosh, they make dishes from certain books?! Books and food together is definitely my kind of event! I wish I could have tagged along, I bet it was such an amazing time!
And I can’t wait for your review on Kasie West’s latest book! Her stories are always so adorable! I’m finally reading The Distance Between Us right now and it’s too cute!!
