Sunday Post & Giveaways Galore 12/31/17

Posted December 31, 2017 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 24 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Who’s ready for the New Year? I don’t know if I am, but I’m going to pretend.  🙂

Sorry if I’ve been more negative on the blog lately. Things have been stressful in our personal lives (and in our country) and it’s hard not to let that bleed over into what I do here. But I’ve always been an optimist, and I do truly believe that things will work out. Maybe not the way we planned or the way we thought they would, but in the end, we might be stronger for it. That’s my wish (and my prayer) for 2018.

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Since I decided to participate in Top 10 of 2017, my week was FULL of posts!

Next week on FYFA:

  • I have a bite-sized review post written that will go up at some point. And my December wrap-up. And another 2017 wrap-up? Or two? Too much? I can’t decide!

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Book-Haul

From Edelweiss:

I’ve been trying not to request many books when I still have so many unread books, but I couldn’t resist Dread Nation or Heart of Iron. Really, I think I should be applauded for my self-control with all the “looking forward to in 2018” posts going up right now. (Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll give in and request more soon.)

Purchased:

As soon as The Young Queens released, I immediately bought it and read it! Watch for a review (and maybe a short spoiler-free discussion?) coming up soon!! I also preordered The Queens of Fennbirn, which is the paperback copy of both novellas and is coming out in April at the same time as The Oracle Queen. AND I bought a bunch of books from The Book Outlet during their Boxing Day Sale, but I’ll tell you about those when I get them.

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

  • I pretty much read anyone and everyone’s 2017 wrap-up posts this week. (Check out the link-up if you want to find some, and feel free to link up your own!)

 Pre-Order Deals:

Listed in order of release date. Any new deals that I just added to the list this week will be denoted with a *** so you can easily find them!

Please note: Almost all pre-order giveaways run “while supplies last,” so I can’t guarantee that they’ll be open until the date listed. Pre-0rder early for your best chance to get all the goodies!

Other Current Giveaways on FYFA:

(Besides the ones listed with this week’s posts)

Even More Awesome Giveaways on Other Sites:

Lots of good stuff! Have any giveaways or great discussions happening on your site right now? Feel free to share them in the comments!

  1. *hugs* Throughout the year I found myself kind of feeling the same way, letting the stresses of my week bleed over into my Sunday Posts. I am trying to work on that myself, and I think my recent choice of medication is going to help me a lot even in that regard. I hope that your personal matters resolve in the best way for you and your family. I hope 2018 brings better things for you.

  2. I’m a pretty optimistic person too, but it’s hard sometimes so no worries. Sometimes you just need to let it out a bit. I DO hope that you have a great 2018 though!! And I love wrap-up posts so the more, the merrier. 🙂

  3. OOh nice! I’m curious about Heart of Iron! Sounds like it might be my kind of read but I’m “trying” to make 2018 my TBR year…at least in theory! Lol! I’ve been trying to be real “picky” about what books I add to my pile this year, so far my new release list isn’t too terribly long. But it is still early! Lol!

Hope you have a GREAT 2018!!

  4. I’m certainly ready for a fresh start in 2018. I have no reason to think things will be better for our country, but I am hopeful. So tired of the hate and the finger pointing and the personal attacks (and this from our “leader” – what a fine example). I truly hope for better in 2018. For all of us.

  5. I was able to get The Young Queens at the library and thought it was well worth the read. I am not a fan of novellas, but I did think this one gave us some good information about some important things. Do you suspect there is a blue queen? Just wondering, because I hope there is.
