Sunday Post & Giveaways Galore – 1/21/18

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

This was a big week for us as far as school went because we checked out our local high school’s 8th grade orientation and decided that Danielle is going to go to public school next year. There are so many awesome opportunities when it comes to clubs and such, and I think she’ll benefit from seeing friends every day (and having them nearer to us geographically). Plus, I’m not gonna lie, I’m looking forward to having more time to work on writing and some of my own personal goals. Nothing’s set in stone yet, but we’re definitely leaning toward the switch to public school for Danielle in high school. We shall see!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:

Next week on FYFA:

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Somehow I missed putting last week’s celebrations up here (since there were none the week before), so I’m going to mention them so they get the recognition they deserve!

    • Yeah, we’ve said that this doesn’t have to be a forever decision, but freshman year is the year to try it if we’re going to. I won’t lie—I’m hoping it works out so that I have a little more time to focus on writing, but I’ve loved homeschooling!

  1. Oh, that is exciting! I hope everything stays in line for her to go to public school next year. The opportunities of clubs can be a really great thing for kids to find their niche and what they like. I hope it all works out so that she is happy and you can work on your own projects, too.

  2. Wowowowow, awesome giveaway list and blogger promos. Good luck on your daughter’s switch to public school. My son did that as well, from Catholic school to public and he loves it. He loves both. He really missed his old school but he adapted fast. Good luck!

  3. The switch to public school is a big decision. But I think it can be a good thing. We had a couple students who came to our public school after being homeschooled and they did a great job. And I think they enjoyed the different environment as well. Good luck with however you decide on that. You can check out my Sunday Post in the link below. Have a great week!
