Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Incentives & Giveaways Galore – 12/2/18

Posted December 2, 2018 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 24 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

It’s December. Can you believe it’s December? 2018 is almost done, and I sort of wish I could say I’d accomplished more in 2018, but it hasn’t been a horrible year overall. It depends on what day you ask me.  🙂

Nothing all that special happened this week. I’ve had bad heartburn, which made me sick to my stomach almost every day. Very annoying. And I didn’t manage to finish my first draft in November like I hoped, but I did write pretty much every day this week, and I’m really close. So…

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries for this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, it’s easy! Just fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book-Haul

For Review:

I joined the Navigating the Stars blog tour. I’m excited to read a new Maria V. Snyder book! I also received Tribe of Daughters from Kate L. Mary for review. I don’t read much adult anymore, but Kate L. Mary is a favorite author and I will read pretty much anything she writes.

From NetGalley:

I couldn’t resist Descendant of the Crane. I have no regrets.

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Pre-Order Deals:

Listed in order of release date. Any new deals that I just added to the list this week will be denoted with a *** so you can easily find them!

Please note: Almost all pre-order giveaways run “while supplies last,” so I can’t guarantee that they’ll be open until the date listed. Pre-0rder early for your best chance to get all the goodies!

More Awesome Giveaways:

Lots of good stuff! Have any giveaways or great discussions happening on your site right now? Feel free to share them in the comments!

  1. Ugh heartburn is the worst! I get it myself occasionally, but it’s never anything that a few Tums can’t cure. Yay for progress on your manuscript though! Even if you didn’t get it finished for Nano, that’s still an accomplishment to be proud of! 🙂

And yay for new reads!! I loved Navigating the Stars which I read two weeks ago! I pretty much love all Maria’s books! Lol! Realllllly hoping Book Depository will ship my copy soon, but I know Maria didn’t even receive hers yet either, so we’re both waiting! Lol.

Hope you enjoy your new reads!

  2. Aw, sorry you weren’t feeling great, hope it’s better now! Also, I think you accomplished quite a bit this year, so be proud! You must let me know if you like Descendant of the Crane because if you do, I shall request it too! Also how have I not heard of Navigating the Stars!? It looks good (and the cover is so pretty!) Again, please let me know what you think of it, for I shall buy it if you like it. (This is the benefit of a book twin, obviously ?)

  3. “It hasn’t been a horrible year overall. It depends on what day you ask me.” Wow. That is a mood. Sorry to hear about your heartburn and not finishing your draft, but nice on writing everyday in the past week! <3

I got approved for Descendant of the Crane as well! No regrets either, despite adding more books to my TBR for next year already, whoops. Navigating the Stars has a gorgeous cover.

    • Ha! I actually didn’t mean for that comment to sound so depressing—I was referring to my writing life, not life in general (and I’m pretty sure I’d just received a rejection email right before I wrote the post, so my mood was a bit down right then). Writing really is an emotional rollercoaster—one day I’ll feel GREAT about it, and then the next I’ll think, “There’s no way I’ll ever break into this business! It’s impossible!” 🙂

Sending hugs your way and I hope that you’re starting to feel better now. I’m actually super excited it’s December! I love this month, and there’s so many fun activities I do with my littles….we made paper snowflakes after school today…so I just want the month to slow down please so I can enjoy every minute. 🙂
