Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 3/31/19

Posted March 31, 2019 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 28 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

This work I’ve mostly been working on editing Convenerimus to get it ready for submission. I have a CP I’ve been working with since just before I submitted to my agent, but I hadn’t incorporated any edits based on her notes because I wasn’t sure how this process was going to work. My agent gave me permission to go ahead and put those edits in before we go on submission. Of course, there’s no such thing as perfection, but it’s nice to go through one more time and do a bit more work on it before that next step.  🙂

This week was spring break for my kids, but we didn’t do all that much. The kids (and my mom) and I went to a VR place on Thursday that was a lot of fun. I only did it for like 5 minutes because I wanted the kids to get most of the time (we had two rooms for an hour), but it was a really cool experience. And even watching someone else do it was fun. Other than that, we just enjoyed time off by taking some walks with the dogs, playing games and watching a couple of movies. Friday night, my husband and I went to see Captain Marvel. We enjoyed it, even though neither of us are big superhero fans.

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries for this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, it’s easy! Just fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book Haul:

Purchased:

I used more of my birthday money to pre-order Sky Without Stars because I LOVE Les Mis (the musical–I still haven’t gotten through the whole book). And, yeah, don’t remind me how I said I don’t love swag because this map is amazing! (But, I still have no idea what I’m going to do with it.)

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Pre-order Campaigns

Listed in order of release date. Any new deals that I just added to the list this week will be denoted with a *** so you can easily find them!

Please note: Almost all pre-order giveaways run “while supplies last,” so I can’t guarantee that they’ll be open until the date listed. Pre-0rder early for your best chance to get all the goodies!

The cover of Sky Without Stars is absolutely gorgeous, fabulous birthday present choice. ? And it sounds like you guys had such a nice and mellow spring break, yay! I’ve had friends go to the VR place here and one of the situations is walking out on a plank off of a 80 foot building, ack. Once my littlest is a few years older then we’ll go check it out.

  2. Best of luck for your edits and to get your work ready for submission, I hope everything will go well, fingers crossed!
Thank you, as always, for sharing all of these giveaways and preorder campaigns, this is so helpful <3
    I hope you'll have a wonderful week, Nicole <3

  3. Good luck with your edits! How exciting that you’re getting that much closer to submitting your book. I hope all goes well. That VR place sounds fun; I’ve never done VR before but I’d love to check it out. I’m planning on seeing Captain Marvel this week with a friend! I’m glad you liked it.

  4. OHHHHH A title!!! Love “Convenerimus” I was also wondering how the editing process worked once you have an agent as far as whose feedback to include. YOU HAVE AN GENT!! AHHH I can’t get over that yet! So happy for you!

    • I think the process works differently depending on your agent. Since I’d already been working with this CP since before I submitted to my agent, I asked her if she’d mind if I incorporated the CP’s feedback. I wasn’t sure how it was going to work either. LOL!
