Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 10/27/19

Posted October 27, 2019 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 46 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Not too much to tell you this week (which is a good thing!). Jade seems to be recovering—she’s still suffering from nausea now and again for no apparent reason, but it’s not as bad as it was. She’s finally gotten back to classes too, which is a good thing. Of course, I’m now driving her to all her classes, and it takes us forever to get ready for the day (she needs lots of help from me still because she’s not allowed to put weight on the broken ankle)—I’ve been saying it’s kind of like having a toddler again! Still, I’ll take this any day over the misery of the last month or so.

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries for this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, it’s easy! Just fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book Haul:

For Review:

I got yet another box with personalized swag in it! This must be a new Entangled Teen thing. 🙂 Thanks, Entangled! This time I got Find Me Their Bones by Sara Wolf, and I actually created an Instagram story for the unboxing (it took me four tries, but I think it ended up okay—it’s up for the next 24 hours if you want to check it out!). This gorgeous cover was created by Yin Yuming!

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

  1. I’m glad to hear Jade is doing better. I remember when my daughter broke her arm and I had to help her a lot more and then 2 years later she broke the other arm riding on a scooter. I’m hoping Jade is all healed up soon. Poor kid.

  2. I do hope your daughter recovers well. My daughter had a skiing accident where she had months of crutches, PT, etc. It ended up a good experience with the PT and she recovered well but it was a chunk of my schedule every day. I’m just glad I had the flexibility to do it. Thanks for the shout-out about my Blogaversary. It’s hard to believe I have been 2 years on my own blog after 4 years with 2 other blogs. I have the best team of friends! Have a great week and happy reading!

  3. A broken limb always impact the family Nicole! My husband broke one rib and his clavicle months ago and I had to help him for everything plus drive everyone around! So good luck for next week!

  4. So glad Jade is continuing to get better and has returned to classes. But I know being a caregiver (or just caring for someone who needs extra help) is completely exhausting and draining. I hope you are taking care of yourself, too! So cool that you received more personalized swag! 🙂

I think I got one box ever, and I felt so valid as a blogger, even if I read an electronic copy of the book. Gifts are nice. I hope the book is really good too. Glad your daughter is feeling better. Sending lots of happy healing thoughts her way.

  6. Oh glad to hear Jade is recovering! That’s no fun, dealing with a broken ankle plus school and all that. Also that Sara Wolf book looks awesome. I need to get to those at some point.

    Have a great week ahead!

  7. I’m sorry to hear about the broken ankle, Im glad that it sounds like things are slowly getting back to normal though. And I hope you like the Sara Wolf book, I still need to read the first one but it’s definitely on my TBR as it sounds fantastic.

  8. Glad to hear that Jade is doing better and recovering. I hope you are well too!! ?
I hope you enjoy ‘Find Me Their Bones’ (interesting name) and I’m happy that you got to receive a box, I think the additional swag is so cool!
