Sunday Post: A Pupdate – 6/7/20

Posted June 7, 2020 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 38 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

I don’t have time for a full Sunday Post this week, but I wanted to share a pupdate (puppy update)!

Meet the newest Hewitt, Digit!

He is the sweetest, most adorable puppy ever. And so far, he’s been a dream – a great mix of snuggly and playful. And he hasn’t had a single accident, which is … strange considering the fact he was raised in a literal barn (on a bed of hay).  I’m sure we’re just in the honeymoon period, but I am loving every minute of it!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

  1. Adorable puppy! And I love that you track/share birthdays and blogoversaries! Off to share birthday wishes now 😉 Have a great week!

    • Awww, thank you! My oldest is going away to college in the fall, and she’s a total (self-professed) math nerd. We thought it would be fun to give the pup a math-related name in her honor, but hypotenuse just doesn’t have the right ring to it. LOL! We all agreed that Digit is a fun number-related name. 🙂

    • Hahaha! Yes, I think this is much more typical. He has now had one small accident, but I am still very impressed. He basically immediately pees when we put him out on the grass and he’s never gone inside his playpen (the one accident was when he was roaming “free” in the family room and he was just getting over the trauma of a bath). He also already sits for us to throw his toy for him—I’m kind of astounded!

    • I honestly thought that since he’s so young, it would take extra long to get him potty trained and to see any sort of progress on any other kind of training, but he seems to be exceptionally smart!! He’s caught onto everything way easier than the other two puppies we’ve raised.

      • I can’t seem to reply directly to your comment…but anyway.

Herding dogs are pretty smart anyway but I had one sheltie that was SO smart. He got bumped out of his puppy class after 2 weeks, then out of beginners class after another 2. He was in advanced obedience before his original puppy class had ended lol

He was kind of exhausting though. He rarely, if ever, got into trouble but wanted to learn CONSTANTLY.
