Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 7/12/20

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Once again, I’m getting this post up very late. We’ve been working on projects all weekend long, and I just didn’t have time to get it up earlier. Well, it’s still Sunday…

Here’s what else we’ve been up to this week:

  • We watched:
    • My daughter Danielle and I are finishing season two of The 100 as I write this. Now for season three!
  • We finished refinishing that antique cabinet I told you about last week. It’s really nice to have more storage in our kitchen! Here are a couple of pics of how it turned out:

  • We also built a gate to help reign in the puppy. We bought one that was pretty nice looking, but people kept tripping over the threshold and it wasn’t as stable as we’d like. We decided that we would build our own to match the trim that we built around the doors and windows. I think it turned out pretty darn amazing!

  • And we finished another junk art project! I won’t put a picture here because I’m planning on doing another monthly update later, but suffice it to say I’m VERY happy with this new addition.
  • My daughter painted masks (I had nothing to do with this, but I just had to show you her cool artwork. The one on the bottom left, she did from a photo of our dog Bella). The fox is mine, of course. Then she also did two Pokemon for my youngest and she painted Bella for herself. She’s working on some anime characters for my daughter Jade, but those aren’t done yet. (She also baked another cake this week—chocolate coffee.)

  • As far as my reading goes…
    • I didn’t actually finish any books this week, but I did almost finish one and I’m listening to another. Yeah, not great.
  • Digit! As always, the new little fluff is keeping me busy. Here’s a pic from this week:

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

  1. I’m well impressed with how well your gate turned out, well done. The cabinet looks brilliant, you can never have too much kitchen storage. Love the masks your daughter painted, what a great way to personalise face masks and make it a little more fun to wear them.

  2. You guys are so handy and creative! I love your new projects! The cabinet is looks great and the gate also looks amazing! Great job!

And don’t worry, you’re not the only one posting late… every Sunday night for the past month or so I’ve been racing against the clock to post my Sunday Post before, you know, Sunday is over ? Today (yesterday?) it went up at 11:30 pm which is pretty early for me nowadays ?

  3. Your daughter’s art is awesome. I love the Pokemon. The cabinet came out beautiful. Nice job, and that is one of the nicest dog fences I have ever seen.
