August 2020 Discussion Challenge Link-Up & Giveaway

Posted August 1, 2020 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Book Blog Discussion Challenge, Giveaways (Ended) / 1 Comment

Welcome to the August monthly link-up for the 2020 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!

I know a lot of us are in reading and blogging slumps, but I have to tell you that these discussions have been a highlight of my blogging life lately—I’m loving reading what you all have to say, so keep it up!

The winner of our June discussion challenge giveaway was Lauren @ Shooting Stars Mag. She got to pick a book by a black author in honor of BLM and chose a pre-order of This Is My America by Kim Johnson. It just released this week, so I hope you love it, Lauren!

  • If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more!
  • Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there are lots of great discussions going on!
  • Looking for even more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight!

Featured Post/New Rafflecopter Entries!

Our post of the month for May (as chosen by Random.org) is Liliana @ Lili Lost in a Book’s “THE BOOKSHELF TAG.” Commenting on that post gives you FIVE extra entries in the giveaway (if you already commented, that counts too!).

Also remember that there’s a new entry to the Rafflecopter: Comment on either of our monthly link-up posts telling us about a discussion you’ve particularly enjoyed this month, and grab yourself some extra entries!

For the August giveaway, I thought we’d acknowledge this little pandemic we’re all living through. But, as always, I want to keep the options for your win as open as possible, so you can win any book that you feel fits the theme of the pandemic. It could be a book about recovering from an illness, it could be a dystopian novel, it could be a book with themes of freedom (we all hope we get some soon!) or overcoming obstacles—basically, tell me what you think the book has to do with the pandemic and I will nod and give the book to you.  🙂

As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!) up to a $17 value.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Make sure to link up all of your August discussion posts here. This linky and the August giveaway will be open until September 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
