Sunday Post header

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

  • Christmas shopping. How is December almost over? I guess I should be glad to be almost rid of 202o, but I had to scramble to finish Christmas shopping this week. I guess I’m done? I don’t even know.
  • TV
    • Watching SupernaturalOnly watched a few episodes this week.
    • Watched Jingle Jangle. I had read good things about this movie and I so wanted to love it because the idea of a holiday movie with a black cast (and especially, a little black girl who’s a mathematical genius) is phenomenal. But it was… a disappointment. Did anyone else watch this? Did I see a different movie than the rest of the world? I LOVED the effects, but it started to lose me right from the beginning with the really horrible lip-synching. How could a movie with such a huge effects budget not manage to synch up the singing? And why wasn’t Jangle able to invent any more after his plans were stolen? Honestly, I could go on, but I won’t. If you watched this and want to chat with me about it, feel free to DM via Twitter!
  • Reading
    • We’re getting close to the deadline for the first round of the Cybils Awards, so I’ve kicked into high gear with my reading!!
    • I finished listening to Willa and the Whale.
    • I finished reading Mulrox and the Malcognitos and then read Ikenga, A Game of Fox and Squirrels, Wishes and Wellingtons, When Kittens Go Viral, Catalyst, and The Girl Who Lost Her Shadow.
  • The Dogs. Here are a couple of pics of Digit:

  1. Hope you’re able to get your holiday shopping wrapped up this week! I literally finished mine yesterday! Lol. But honestly, it was more about buying a restaurant gift card when I could manage to get there without my family noticing! Lol. Then I wrapped up the remaining gifts and put them under the tree. Just have to add my niece’s gifts probably on Thursday since she’s being watched here for a few hours up until then! Don’t want her snooping under the tree while I’m away at work and guessing her gifts! Lol.

Hope you enjoy your holiday this week!

  2. I need to go check out your challenges post. Thanks for putting that all together again for 2021. I know it probably takes a longgg time.

Love the Digit photos!! I haven’t watched Jingle Jangle, but I wanted to, so that’s a shame it really wasn’t that great. Sigh. It happens.

I love the Digit pics, he’s so cute ! We’re currently watching the end of S9 of Supernatural – hate Metatron but boy, do I love me some Crowley ! Thanks for your reading challenges list, this must have been a lot of work ! Have a great week 🙂

  4. I put together last minute presents as well. Wrapping is the hardest for me and I can’t do without a joke on xmas like this year wrapping a blanket in a box meant for a hoover vacuum.

I’m sorry Jingle Jangle was a let down. Usually I’m watching Christmas movies this time of year but I’m trying to sneak in more reading before the year end. If I watch it I’ll let you know my thoughts!
