The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Reminder – Enter my 8th blogoversary giveaway! And check out the new Pre-Order Campaign Page

  • The college search. I spent a lot of time this week helping my daughter look into colleges and summer programs that might help her get into a good school. She wants to go into Environmental Science (probably specializing in something field-related so she can be outdoors for her job). This year has been so weird, but she’s a junior, and we need to start figuring out where she wants to go!
  • The S22i exercise bike. I’m happy to say that, so far, I’ve been good about using my exercise bike at least five times a week. (Granted, it’s only been two weeks. LOL!) I’m feeling great about it—so glad we got this bike!
  • Blogging: So, as soon as I mentioned last week that I was doing great about sticking to a blogging schedule, I totally messed up. I did manage to eke out two posts, but they were crammed in at the end of the week. (And I wouldn’t have managed it if I hadn’t needed to put up the Monthly Wrap-Up Round-Up, which I probably would have forgotten all about if Shannon hadn’t reminded me!)
  • What I Read:
    • I continued reading Legendborn.
    • I’ve been listening to Honor Lost by Rachel Caine and Ann Aguirre
    • I also finished reading my friend Megan’s latest manuscript and sent her my notes for critique.
  • TV We Watched:
    • SupernaturalWe’re still watching season 9 of Supernatural. (We haven’t had as much time to watch lately, obviously.)
    • 24. We’re still on season 3 of 24, too.
    • Shark Tank. I realized I’ve been forgetting this one, even though we’ve been watching it for awhile. My son Noah especially loves this one. He asks if we can watch it pretty much every day after school. We’re up to date on the current season, and we also watched all of season 8 (which was the last one on Hulu), and then we jumped all the way back to season 1. It was really funny to see how different the show was when it started out! The sharks were much meaner back then!
  • Bella’s DNA test results: As always, my pups kept me busy! We started back up with our agility class after a one-week break. We also got the DNA test results back for Bella (I got the kit for my birthday). I thought, instead of just saying what they were, it might be fun to have people guess.

Identify this dog: Let me know in the comments what you think Bella’s mix might be. I’ll post the results next week!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

  1. Exercise biking sounds great. We love biking in MN it seems. People will get those fat tire bikes. I even took a woman to the airport who plans on doing a trek in Arizona.

    • I’m honestly pretty bad about dog breeds too, but I did have a hunch with Bella that ended up being correct. (If it makes you feel better about your perceived lack of breed-identifying abilities, though, every vet and/or pet professional who told us what they think Bella is was wrong. LOL!) I’ll “reveal” the results next week. (cue drumroll) 🙂

  2. Good luck with the college search. It must be a bit different these days. I remember driving all over the place. I only ever had mutts, so I have no clue what kind of dog Bella is, but that picture of the two together is adorable. And good for you being consistent with your exercise!

  3. Good luck to your daughter! Environmental science sounds fascinating. And cute pics of Bella! I don’t know what to guess haha but looking forward to the answer. 🙂

  4. These weeks are like that. You start out doing one thing and end up with totally something else. I’m obviously bad about guessing breeds; what we thought Lulu was she didn’t have any of any kind of terrier in her breeds. But I’ll give it a shot with some kind of setter but which kind I have no idea. Can’t wait to see the results next week.

  5. Good luck to your daughter! I thought about going back to school for Environmental Science, but I already wasted 11 years in college, and the thought of going back makes me nauseous. I’d guess Bella is an Australian Shephard. And maybe a Lab or Golden Retriever? All I know is that she’s adorable.
