The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
- Writing: Still working hard on my latest draft!
- What I Read:
- I continued reading The Witch Haven by Sasha Peyton Smith.
- I finished listening to Supernova by Marissa Meyer and started listening to The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
- TV We Watched:
- The final season of Supernatural. We didn’t have a chance to watch any this week, so we still have three episodes left!
- The Amazing Race. Still watching this one too!
- Agility. Digit has been having a really hard time with the teeter-totter during our agility classes. He basically won’t go past the middle, even when we’re holding onto it. Just refuses to budge! So, Scott built me our own teeter for at-home practice!! The incredible thing is that, Digit took to it right away, and he’s already a genius at using it! He even does it at the second of the three possible heights with no problem. We tried to make the teeter just like the one in class (besides the base), so hopefully his skills will transfer. I’ll take a video later today of him doing it and put it in next week’s Sunday Post, but for now, here’s a pic of my husband’s awesome agility handiwork skills!
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:
- September 2021 Discussion Challenge Link-Up & Giveaway
- August 2021 Monthly Wrap-Up & Best of the Bunch
Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

- Believe it or not, there are none this week!
Book Haul:
Purchased:
Danielle has to read books of “literary merit” for her AP Lit class, so we bought The Handmaid’s Tale and The Midnight Library to read together. And we had our SCBWI meeting in person for the first time in a year and a half at Barnes and Noble. so I bought Game Changer by Neal Shusterman.
For Review:
I received Our Violent Ends from Simon & Schuster for review! Thanks!!
Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:
- I didn’t take note of any this week.

Ooh, can’t wait to see the video of Digit on the teeter totter! I also got Our Violent Ends this week. Can’t wait to read it, I loved the first one! I finished The Witch Haven a week or so ago, it was pretty good. Hope you have a good week!
How fun to buddy read with your daughter. Hope you both love the books. That teeter totter is great! Digit is one lucky dog.
That’s so cool! Thanks for the Digit update.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Awesome job on the teeter totter! Hopefully Digit’s comfort with it translates over. Good luck!
books of “literary merit” haha love it! Good picks anyway 🙂
We weren’t exactly sure what constituted literary merit, but the teacher has given them some possible options, so we’ve gone with a couple of those. I’m looking forward to reading them with her!
I hope you are enjoying The Witch Haven. I would like to read that one myself. I am glad the home teeter totter is working out well and Digit is using it. I hope you will post a video next week! I hope you have a great week and enjoy your reading!
Our Violent Ends looks sooo good. I can’t wait to read your thoughts on it. 🙂
I’ll be picking that one up soon!
YAY for building Digit one to practice at home! It turned out so fabulous! And I can’t wait to see what you think of Our Violent Ends, Chelsea was absolutely obsessed with it ♥.
That’s great that your husband was able to make a teeter totter and Digit took to it right away. Have a great week.
Go Digit! And your husband for making that cool teeter-totter. By the way, highly recommend the audiobook of THE HANDMAID’S TALE narrated by Claire Danes. That’s how I read it last time I re-read the book. So good.
Oooh! Thanks for the rec! I love Claire Danes.
Your husband did a great job on the teeter-totter! So cute. I hope the skills transfer to class. 🙂
That doggie teeter totter is awesome. (I always called it a see-saw, which is an even more strange name lol). I do not think my dog would use that – he’s very suspicious of all new things!
I’ve seen teeter-totter and see-saw, so you’re not alone. Both names are pretty funny if you think about them. 🙂
