The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

  • Writing and working on other writing-related stuff. I spent a lot of time this week working on my current writing project and other writing-related tasks. One thing of note–I might be doing a site redesign and I’m trying to figure out details. I love my fox girl, but I think she needs an update. We shall see!

What I Read This Week:

  • I finished reading Freestyle by Gale Galligan. Then I read Odder by Katherine Applegate, Frizzy by Claribel A. Ortega, and Hooky by Míriam Bonastre Tur. Lots of graphic novels this week! (They’re quick and easy to read while I’m on my breaks at work.)
  • I continued listening to Made You Up by Francesca Zappia and Fairy Tale by Stephen King. (I didn’t listen to much this week, though. Now that I’m not running, my listening time has gone WAY down.)

What I Watched:

  • I started watching season 4 of STRANGER THINGS. Liking it so far!
  • I continued watching THE MOLE. I’m guessing I’ll finish it this weekend (I’m pretty sure all the episodes are out now?). I’ll be interested to see if my prediction about who the mole is ends up being correct.

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

  • Um, nothing. I started a bite-sized review post but didn’t manage to finish it. Got lots of non-blog writing done, though!

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Happy birthday graphicHappy blogoversary graphic

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries for this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, it’s easy! Just fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.

  • None this week! (Surprise, surprise.)

Book Haul:

Purchased:

I bought Odder by Katherine Applegate (cover art by Pascal Campion) as a gift to myself for completing the marathon. Well-deserved! I also got my pre-order of Big Bad by Lily Anderson (cover art by Mike Heath). I obviously needed this newest Buffy book. Need to read this soon!!

    • I’m liking it, but I’m surprised how long it’s taken to get to the fantasy-ish part (which is what I was really anticipating loving). I’m eight hours into the audiobook (one-third of the book), and it’s just getting there now. To be fair, I was listening while running a marathon, so I was a bit distracted. LOL!

  1. I keep debating about looking into a site design too. I have absolutely zero tech skills in that area, so I would definitely need to hire someone. Maybe in the new year…? I don’t know. Things are chaotic now, and like you I find I still like things about my blog design as is. So we’ll see! Lol.

Nice new reads! I want to get to this new Buffy book! I’ve added it to my wishlist and hopefully with the upcoming holidays B&N will throw in some coupons so I can justify buying it! Lol! Hope you enjoy your new reads!

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. I listen to books while running and doing other chores. The weather is still nice enough to run, but it is getting cooler! It was 35F this morning! I waited until it got to 45 before getting out and because it was sunny it wasn’t too bad. Good luck on writing!

  3. Glad you got so much writing done, that is a great accomplishment! I used to watch The Mole (like, the OG one) back in the day with my mom- we were complete trash at guessing the mole bwahha. I hope you have better luck! I do want to try the revamp though, so one of these days when I have a minute (so, never? 😂) I feel you with the redesign- I have been telling myself for YEARS that I want to redo mine but ugh, I can’t find anyone to do it and I don’t have the time to do it myself! Good luck if you do end up going for it, I am sure it will look fabulous (and it already does now, in case you lose motivation like me heh)
