Review Policy

I AM VERY SORRY, BUT DUE TO AN OVERWHELMING NUMBER OF COMMITMENTS, AT THIS TIME I’M UNABLE TO ACCEPT REVIEW REQUESTS FROM SELF-PUBLISHED AUTHORS UNLESS I HAVE PREVIOUSLY READ AND REVIEWED YOUR BOOKS. I hope to be able to accept review requests again in the near future.

Feel free to contact me at nicole@feedyourfictionaddiction.com if you would like me to review your book, but please take a look at my review policies first.

Genres I am currently most interested in reviewing:

  • All MG genres
  • All YA genres
  • Especially MG or YA verse novels!

I may also accept Picture Books if the book strikes my fancy. Take a glance at my Reviews page to see other books I’ve reviewed if you’re not sure if your book will suit me.

I do not currently review Adult or New Adult titles.

I’ll accept:

  • Advanced Reader copies
  • finished copies
  • ebooks (mobi or pdf format)

My reviews:

As per my new review policy, I only post reviews for books I would recommend. Therefore reviews will ONLY be posted to the blog if the book would receive four stars or higher on Goodreads (I do not use a star rating system on the blog but instead use labels). Reviews may be posted alone or as part of a “Bite-Sized Reviews” post.

If the book would have received less than four stars from me on Goodreads, I will write a short non-starred review on Goodreads, focusing on the positives as much as possible. The review will not be posted to the blog or on Amazon.

I am not compensated in any way for my reviews (except, of course, with books!) and will, of course, only post honest reviews.

Reviews for 4-star or higher books will be posted on this blog, on Goodreads and on Amazon. If you would like a review posted anywhere else, I will try to accommodate requests.

Blog tours:

I do not generally participate in blasts or cover reveals, though I occasionally make exceptions for an author I’ve loved in the past.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

  1. Hi, Nicole,
I’m an award-winning Cincinnati author of 12 books. On June 14, Paper Angel Press will release my first novel for middle-grade readers, Haycorn Smith and the Castle Ghost. The novel is set in an actual haunted castle in Loveland, Ohio called Chateau Laroche, and built by one man over 50 years.

Haycorn is a 12-year-old boy who, with his best friend, Budge, runs afoul of some bad guys. In a castle. With a ghost. The boys and Haycorn’s mother are in jeopardy and with his father deployed to Afghanistan, Haycorn knows it’s up to him to bring the bad guys to justice. But what ideas does the ghost have about that?

Are you interested in reviewing the novel? I can supply a fact sheet from the publisher and e-review copy for you.

You can reach me by email, or through my website (johnkachuba.com), or by phone: 513-706-7821.

    Thanks for your consideration.

    John Kachuba
