Welcome to the April monthly link-up for the 2020 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!
Well, this April Fools is a bit less … humorous than usual. Or maybe the joke’s on all of us, who knows? We definitely need a little break from reality lately, so let’s keep discussing books, shall we?
(By the way, the graphic this month is a portrayal of our amazing medical professionals defeating the virus–I know it’s technically bacteria, but he looks so cute and frightened! And that doctor looks like he can take on anything!)
The winner of our February discussion challenge giveaway was Davida @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog. She won a book featuring a romance and chose Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. Sounds like there are seven romances in that one! Hope you love it, Davida!
- If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more!
- Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there are lots of great discussions going on!
- Looking for even more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight!
Featured Post/New Rafflecopter Entries!
Our post of the month for March (as chosen by Random.org) is Emily @ Emily the Book Nerds’ “Ten Signs You’re a Book Nerd.” Commenting on that post gives you FIVE extra entries in the giveaway (if you already commented, that counts too!).
Also remember that there’s a new entry to the Rafflecopter: Comment on either of our monthly link-up posts telling us about a discussion you’ve particularly enjoyed this month, and grab yourself some extra entries!
For the April giveaway, you can choose any humorous book (since we’re missing out on April Fools’ shenanigans). Of course, you get to define what’s funny, so if you find tax rules hysterical and want to choose a book on that, more power to you!
As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!) up to a $17 value.
Make sure to link up all of your April discussion posts here. This linky and the April giveaway will be open until May 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).
Go forth and discuss!

Goodness… What a lovely surprise! Thanks so much!
Congratulations!!
I actually popped over here to see what April Fools shenanigans you were up to, Nicole, but I can see why you’d give it a miss this year.
Yeah, I really debated because I’ve always done something fun for April Fools. But I just couldn’t bring myself to make a weird joke this year when people have a pandemic on their minds. The closest I came is my goofy coronavirus graphic for the discussion challenge this month.
We all need a break from reality right now.
So true.
This is a nice giveaway, thank you 🙂
You’re welcome. Good luck!
