Welcome to the May monthly link-up for the 2020 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!
So. Here we are, in May. It doesn’t look much different than April, I fear. So let’s discuss lots of stuff to liven things up! Hope you’re all staying safe and healthy ♥♥
The winner of our March discussion challenge giveaway was Veronika @ Wordy and Whimsical! She chose The Bookshop Bookby Jen Campbell. Hope you love it!
- If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more!
- Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!
- Looking for even more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight!
Featured Posts/New Rafflecopter Entries!
This year, we’re switching it up a bit! First, we’re adding a new entry to the Rafflecopter: Comment on either of our monthly link-up posts telling us about a discussion you’ve particularly enjoyed this month, and grab yourself some extra entries!
Our post of the month for April (as chosen by Random.org) is Veronika @ Wordy and Whimsical’s “Ranked: Every Book By Emma Mills”
(Good month for Veronika, eh?) Commenting on that post gives you FIVE extra entries in the giveaway (if you already commented, that counts too!).
Also remember that there’s a new entry to the Rafflecopter: Comment on either of our monthly link-up posts telling us about a discussion you’ve particularly enjoyed this month, and grab yourself some extra entries!
For the May giveaway, you can choose any book that you want to be your quarantine buddy! As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!) up to a $17 value.
Make sure to link up all of your May discussion posts here. This linky and the May giveaway will be open until June 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).
Go forth and discuss!

I’m wondering if you consider book tag posts as discussion posts… Just wondering.
As long as they have an element of explanation to them, I’m happy to have you link up tags. If it’s just a list of books, there’s nothing really to discuss, though. I do think some tags are more “discussion-worthy” than others, to be honest, but Shannon and I try to keep the rules to a minimum to keep the challenge fun.
Got it! Thanks.
🙂
I love Marie’s post on how book blogging has changed in the past 5 years. She’s nailed how the book community has moved from blogs to social media while keeping in mind that book blogging still has a place for many of us!
I loved that post too! Such great insights.
