Sunday Post header

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

  • Helping my daughter study for AP tests. She has her exams next week and the week after, so I spent a lot of time helping her study (mostly quizzing her and talking through it all with her). Other than that, nothing terribly exciting happened this week.
  • What I Read
    • I finished reading Trusting True North by Gina Linko. I also read Crazy in Poughkeepsie by Daniel Pinkwater, Missing Mike by Shari Green, and the play Arcadia by Tom Stoppard (I read this because my daughter read it for AP Lit and she wanted to talk it over with me).
    • I continued listening to Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison.
  • What I Watched:
    • I watched the new Netflix gameshow Bullsh*t. I definitely enjoyed it more than I thought I would!
    • We finished watching season 4 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and have just two more episodes of season 1 of Angel.
    • I watched the entire first season of Heartstopper on Netflix, and you guys, this show is amazing! Utterly sweet and addicting. My confession is that I haven’t yet read the graphic novels – an issue I will be resolving as soon as I get the book from the library (it’s on hold – I tried to see if I could buy it, but volume 1 doesn’t seem to be available anywhere).

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

  1. AP exams- fun! 🙂 My daughter has those too. And Heartsopper- that’s based on the Oseman books, right? I loved her book Radio Silence. I’m glad to see she’s having success.

  2. You’re a great mom to help your daughter study for her AP tests. Glad you got so much reading and watching TV into your schedule. Natalie @ Literary Rambles

  3. Hopefully, all the studying for the AP tests pays off for your daughter. I’m sure it will and hopefully she doesn’t worry over them too much. And I feel like everyone has watched and loved Heartstopper, I’m not surprised considering how much I loved the webcomic but it’s always nice to see. I need to sit and watch it soon.
