This past week on FYFA (and in my life): Another busy week in the Hewitt household! I finished that edit of the book I’ve been working on. Keep your eyes peeled for Acceptance by Trish Beninato since I’ll probably be featuring it here on the blog at some point! We also picked our daughter up from camp and dropped my youngest off for the bus for his camp. And, most exciting, our Japanese exchange student got here yesterday! This past week on FYFA (and in my life): I’m writing this post from the last swim meet of the season (for us—my kids aren’t championship swimmers). It’s an outdoor meet, so being on my computer in the sun is sort of challenging. Hopefully this post won’t be riddled with typos! Last week on FYFA (and in my life): This week has been hectic because my oldest and I were racing to finish his online chemistry course before he leaves for Japanese immersion camp (which he does today). Even though it’s technically an online class, 99% of the instruction was via the textbook, so I was going through it with him (he doesn’t learn well from just reading a book if it’s a subject he’s not interested in). Last week on FYFA (and in my life): Today my husband and I are celebrating our 18-year anniversary. And since we dated for seven years before we got married (we were high school sweethearts), that means we’ve been together a quarter of a century! Pretty impressive, if I do say so myself. Last week on FYFA (and in my life): This week started out great, but then got strange fast. I’ll start with the good. I’m writing this post from a swim meet again (on Saturday). We love swimming, but there’s lots of downtime. But that’s okay because that means I have plenty of time to write my Sunday Post today. Last weekend, my daughter had a piano/voice recital and she also had a little ceremony because she was one of the winners of our library’s literary magazine contest. She wrote a really adorable short story for my homeschool writing class and entered it in the contest. I’m super proud and impressed… Read more »
