November-Discussion-Challenge

Welcome to the September monthly link-up for the 2015 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!

Well, the year is coming to a close, but our discussion challenge is still going strong! The winner of our September discussion challenge link-up was Wendy @ Falconer’s Library. She gave me three different choices for books, so she’d have a surprise! Isn’t that fun? I chose Growing Up Social: Raising Relational Kids in a Screen-Driven WorldSounds like a great book for today’s world!

If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more! Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!

You guys have been coming up with some great discussion ideas! But, if you’re coming up blank this month, try out one of these topics:

  • Animals in books – We all love our fuzzy pals. What are some of your favorite animals from books you’ve read and why?
  • Do you prefer happy endings – or more realistic ones?
  • What draws you to a book cover?

Looking for more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight (click the links to be brought directly to our discussion posts).

Giveaway

Since it’s going to be Thanksgiving here in the US this month, the giveaway this month is any book you’re thankful for (up to $17 value)! Tell me the reason why – you’re really thankful for the writer’s amazing writing skills or the diversity in the book or the theme it explores – the possibilities are endless! In fact, while you’re at it, why don’t you tell us in the comments some of the bookish things you’re thankful for! The giveaway is open internationally as long as TBD ships to you. Just follow the Rafflecopter instructions to enter!

Make sure to link up all of your November discussion posts here. This linky and the November giveaway will be open until December 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are. If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).

Go forth, and discuss!

I am thankful for anything written by Sabrina Jeffries. She doesn’t release a lot of books in a year but every book she writes has wonderful characters and great story lines. I read a lot of books but after every time I finish one of her books, I realize just how wonderful a writer she really is.

  2. I suddenly started worrying that I never thanked you for the book! It sure is exciting to win something, and I loved getting a surprise in the mail. (My children were less enthused, for some odd reason.) I’m not going to submit any rafflecopter entries this month, because I’ve actually won two books from Nicole in the past few months, and I don’t want to be greedy!

    • No worries! I’m glad you were excited to get it! It’s sweet of you to give others a chance, but I don’t mind when someone wins a lot – it just means they participate a lot! Make sure that you link up your discussions even if you don’t enter so we don’t miss them!!
