Well, the year is coming to a close, but our discussion challenge is still going strong! The winner of our September discussion challenge link-up was Wendy @ Falconer’s Library. She gave me three different choices for books, so she’d have a surprise! Isn’t that fun? I chose Growing Up Social: Raising Relational Kids in a Screen-Driven World. Sounds like a great book for today’s world!
If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more! Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!
You guys have been coming up with some great discussion ideas! But, if you’re coming up blank this month, try out one of these topics:
- Animals in books – We all love our fuzzy pals. What are some of your favorite animals from books you’ve read and why?
- Do you prefer happy endings – or more realistic ones?
- What draws you to a book cover?
Looking for more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight (click the links to be brought directly to our discussion posts).
Since it’s going to be Thanksgiving here in the US this month, the giveaway this month is any book you’re thankful for (up to $17 value)! Tell me the reason why – you’re really thankful for the writer’s amazing writing skills or the diversity in the book or the theme it explores – the possibilities are endless! In fact, while you’re at it, why don’t you tell us in the comments some of the bookish things you’re thankful for! The giveaway is open internationally as long as TBD ships to you. Just follow the Rafflecopter instructions to enter!
