One More Reading Challenge for 2017: Bookopoly

One More Reading Challenge for 2017: Bookopoly

Challenges 12

I wasn’t planning on signing up for more challenges, but this one was just too much fun to pass up! Hannah over at Broc’s Bookcase put together this adorable Bookopoly Reading Challenge for 2017! It’s taken me awhile to get my ducks in a row and actually sign up because this one takes a little more brain power than some other challenges (actually, the more I’ve looked it over, it really doesn’t, but I had it in my head that it would)—but I’m excited to be doing it now! Seriously, people, how awesome is this challenge board? (Make sure you check out the bigger version on the Bookopoly Reading Challenge page) My goal is to fill up this WHOLE board! ‘Cause why not? I can do it!! What challenges are you excited about in 2017?

December Recap & 2016 Challenge Wrap-Up

December Recap & 2016 Challenge Wrap-Up

Best of the Bunch, Challenges, Monthly Recap 24

Even though I’m very late, I decided to go ahead and do a wrap-up for December, especially since I wanted to do my challenge wrap-up for 2016! My Goings On in December: I went to the 5th Annual Novel Cuisine Luncheon, which was lots of fun and very yummy! Christmas!! On Instragram: Most Popular Posts: Once again, A Spoiler-Filled Discussion of Three Dark Crowns, which was posted at the end of September, was my top post. Apparently, I need to start writing more spoiler-filled discussions! My next top post for December was my List of 2017 Reading/Blogging Challenges. I’m so happy this has been a great resource for people! Next is the 2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge Sign-Up. I hope lots of you will join us! My 2017 Reading/Blogging Challenges

My 2017 Reading/Blogging Challenges

Challenges 31

First of all, if you’re here looking for my comprehensive list of 2017 Reading and Blogging Challenges, you’re in the wrong place. 🙂 Click the link to go there! These are the challenges I plan to participate in in 2017. Once again, I had a really hard time deciding what to choose because I don’t want to participate in a million challenges, but there are SO many good ones. Plus, I know I’m not always that great at sticking to challenges, but I still love having goals, even if I don’t completely manage to make them! This year, I’m switching up most of the challenges I’m participating in—it’s always good to try something new! These are the challenges I ended up with: I thought I’d start with the obvious. Since Shannon and I are hosting this one, it would be a little strange if I didn’t plan to participate. The goal… Read more »

2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge Sign-Up

2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge Sign-Up

Book Blog Discussion Challenge, Challenges 42

Welcome to the 2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight! We came up with this challenge because we wanted to encourage our fellow book bloggers to not only read more (since there are already lots of challenges for that), but talk more too! Well, it’s been SO successful these last two years that we decided to bring it back! So often, we book bloggers mean to post more discussions on our blogs, but we just don’t quite get around to it. Well, we wanted to give everyone a little motivation to keep the discussions going, plus give us a place to link up our discussions so that more people will see our precious words of wisdom (or … you know … our GIF-filled rants). I hope you’ll join us for this challenge and pledge yourself to posting… Read more »

Looking for a List of 2017 Reading/Book Blogging Challenges? Look No Further!

Challenges 78

For the last couple of years I’ve posted a comprehensive list of all the book blogging and reading challenges I’ve found. It seems like it’s been a useful resource, so I figured I’d do it again this year! This is a list of everything I’ve found so far, but I’ll be adding to it—feel free to let me know in the comments if you know of another challenge and I’ll add it to the list. If you’re looking for some advice on how to wisely choose the challenges you want to participate in (and how to get yourself organized), check out my post: How to Keep Yourself Motivated and Organized for Reading Challenges. And Julie over at Chapter Break wrote this great post on How to Embed a Goodreads Shelf into a Blog Post! The Challenges Misc. Let’s Discuss the Book Blog Discussion Challenge!

Let’s Discuss the Book Blog Discussion Challenge!

Book Blog Discussion Challenge, Challenges, Let's Discuss 31

Hey, everybody! So, 2017 is almost here (yikes!) and Shannon and I thought it might be nice to do a little check-in with everyone before we start the 2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge. We want to know how it’s going for you guys. Personally, I love the Discussion Challenge—it’s one of my favorite parts of blogging—but there’s always room for improvement, right? (Or maybe not, but if that’s the case, we want to hear that too.) I was planning to do a whole poll thing, but somehow I got stuck and couldn’t get it to work the way I wanted it to, so in the interest of time, I decided to just ask a few basic questions: If you’ve participated in the challenge: Is there anything that you would change about the challenge? Any suggestions for future giveaways or ways to spice up the challenge? Or is everything perfect and… Read more »

September is for Sequels Sign-Up

September is for Sequels Sign-Up

Challenges 4

Hey, everybody! I’m going to be participating in September is for Sequels, which is being hosted over at Lisa Loves Literature. The goal is to read and review at least four sequels during the month of September. This is actually going to be tough for me since I have so many ARCs that I need to read in September, BUT I also have plenty of other books that I’ve been meaning to pick up, and it wouldn’t be a horrible thing to take a break from BEA books every once in awhile and pick up something else. For the challenge, I plan to read: The Copper Gauntlet by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare The Bronze Key by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare The Beauty of Darkness by Mary E. Pearson One other sequel. I’m not deciding this one ahead of time because I want to give myself the freedom to pick… Read more »

We have really been loving the creativity in your discussions, and enjoy reading them, so thank YOU guys for your amazing participation so far! I love a discussion 😀 The winner of our April discussion challenge link-up was Greg @ Book Haven! He got to pick a book he’d heard good things about, and chose Summer Days and Summer Nights.
