My Goings On in February:
- I turned 42 this month. Yep, that’s right – I’m old. 🙂 But it was also my blogoversary, and my blog only turned three, so let’s just average those out, shall we?
- I did a proofread of A Faerytale: The Beloved by Genevra Thorne, which is being published by Booktrope.
- I’m still working my way through season 4 of Once Upon a Time (my official elliptical viewing pleasure). I really love this show!! I also started watching Fuller House with my kids. It’s incredibly cheesy (just like the original show was), but they like the goofy humor, and I get to reminisce a bit. I’m a bit surprised by how many sexual innuendos they pack into the script, but I guess that’s just the world today – I have to admit it makes me kind of sad. Oh, and my husband and I have been bingeing on Chuck for the past few months – it’s also cheesy, but in a much more tongue-in-cheek, hilarious way!
- My daughter’s taking a break from gymnastics for at least a month (maybe permanently?), so I’m officially not doing hospitality for the March state meet. I’m not gonna lie – I’m thrilled!
- I used my birthday money to buy some really cute artwork from Tabitha (who did my blog design). I actually got even more than this, but I haven’t decided which things I’m going to give to my Secret Sister yet, so I’m not showing them all. Most of them are prints, but the mushroom one is an original, and Tabitha even threw in the little collector’s card size original fox girl and the Belle print as a happy birthday to me (I thought that was really sweet.) I still need to get frames for most of them, but I had one frame that was perfect!

None this month!
HOST/SIGN-UP LINK – Shooting Stars Mag
Status: 2/12 Books Read
Hmmm … I don’t think any of the books I read this month really apply to this challenge. I read three fantasies with characters of sort of nebulous ethnicities, but I don’t know that I would specifically put any of them into the diverse books category. Unless I’m misremembering? Correct me if I’m wrong!

Once again, I only included physical books that I actually had on my shelf before January (and read in 2016, since I actually read Their Fractured Light in December).
The Distance Between Us by Kasie West
The Summer I Became a Nerd by Leah Rae Miller

Um, I failed at this challenge in February! I meant to finish The Others series by Anne Bishop, but I only finished the first book! I’m still working on it and plan to finish it toward the beginning of the month, though!

Belated Happy Birthday! I turned 42 in February as well. 🙂 I hope you’re having a great March so far.
Happy Belated Birthday! (Mine was on the 8th, so just 3 days earlier than yours :P) I’ll have to go check out that post. I am SO BEHIND, oh my word – I feel like I’m playing endless catch up. But it’s a lot more fun to catch up on reading blogs than, well, most things 🙂 It sounds like you had a pretty busy month yourself.
That artwork is precious 🙂 Thanks for the intro to an artist I haven’t seen before
You picked out some beautiful artwork for your birthday! What a special present to choose. And yay for not having to host gymnastics this month! *happy dance* Cheers to March being a wonderful month filled with lots of books you love!
You did awesome for books! Happy belated birthday and blogoversary, and happy March!
Happy late birthday and blogoversary!! The prints you bought you are so cute. 🙂
HAAAAPPY BIRTHDAY!! *flings confetti and cake at you* And omg those art prints are just adorably amazing. LOVE. Tabitha is seriously talented. xD And congrats on so many high ratings too!! I had quite a good February when it comes to reading, buuuut…I did have a lot of 2-stars unfortunately. I’m hoping March will be better. 😛
Happy belated birthday! Don’t say your old because I turn 42 this year and I’m not old ;)! Hehehe! Life sounds busy so how you get so much Reading makes me jealous!
I tried getting into Once Upon a Time and I just couldn’t. I’m glad you’re sticking with it! I love Tabitha’s artwork. So incredibly pretty. Happy birthday!
I know I told you last week but HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN! Looks like you had an awesome time, lots of books and gorgeous artwork. Oh and you are NOT OLD ;D I’m glad you’re having fun with OUaT – I only started that show like last year but I’m all caught up and eagerly awaiting the show to come back from it’s hiatus! Happy weekend my friend ♥
I hope you had a great birthday. I will be 42 this year myself. I feel soooo old, mainly because my body is falling apart already.
I love Once Upon a Time too. I haven’t seen season four. I’m behind on lots of shows.
Cute artwork!
Happy birthday! Good job with your challenge progress. 🙂
Happy Belated Birthday! I am not far behind you. In fact, I will be celebrating the BIG 40 this year. Ugh! I am so happy for you not to be hosting that meet again this year. I know it was rough for you last year. Nice haul of review this month! I so need to read Air Awakens. I bought it and just haven’t had any spare reading time. I am overloaded with my TBR!
I hope you enjoy all your (new found) free time!
I love that you’ve been watching Chuck – that show has a special spot in my heart. Those artworks are beautiful, and looks like you had a great reading month! Hope March will be as awesome for you!
