May Discussion Challenge & Link-Up

Posted May 1, 2017 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Book Blog Discussion Challenge, Giveaways (Ended) / 0 Comments

Welcome to the May monthly link-up for the 2017 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!

Hi, everyone! Sorry we’re late getting the May link-up today. I just know that a few of you have already posted May discussions (because you’re totally on top of things like that) and you’ve been wondering where the link-up is!

(It’s totally my fault, by the way. Shannon is blameless—though I’m sure she’ll leave this little disclaimer off her version of this post since it’s sounds a bit odd to say “It’s totally Nicole’s fault!”)

The winner of our March discussion challenge link-up was Ikram from Ikram Reads a Lot. She chose The Wiseman’s Fear by Patrick Rothfuss. I’ve never heard of it, to be honest, but I hope it’s a great read!

If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more! Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!

We’re no longer giving discussion ideas each month (because not that many people seemed to need them), BUT you can check out our list of the topics we’ve suggested over the past two years if you need some inspiration. There are LOTS of ideas there, and I’m sure you’ll find one you love!

Looking for even more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight (click the links to be brought directly to our discussion posts).

Featured Blogger

This month’s featured blogger (as chosen by Random.org) is Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Blog! She’s new to the Discussion Challenge this year, but she’s already contributed several great discussions! I’m listing two of my favorites below! (Commenting on these will give you extra entries in the giveaway, by the way—if you already commented on them when they went up originally, that counts too!)

Giveaway

This month, I thought it would be fun to expand your horizons a little, so the winner can choose any book by a new-to-you author or in a new-to-you genre (or about a topic you’ve never read about before). As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!).

Make sure to link up all of your May discussion posts here. This linky and the May giveaway will be open until June 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).
