We’re no longer giving discussion ideas each month (because not that many people seemed to need them), BUT you can check out our list of the topics we’ve suggested over the past two years if you need some inspiration. There are LOTS of ideas there, and I’m sure you’ll find one you love!

This month’s featured bloggers- yes, plural! (as chosen by Shannon & Random.org) are Sebastian & Maraia @ Büchermonster! Here are two discussions I have enjoyed!: (Commenting on these will give you extra entries in the giveaway, by the way—if you already commented on them when they went up originally, that counts too!)
- They ask how well action scenes work in books (which I find quite fascinating because to be perfectly honest, they don’t always work for me- especially long ones!)
- They also wonder if 2016 was a disappointing Bookish Year (it was, and a disappointing year in general? Don’t worry guys, 2017 makes 2016 look like a picnic ?)
Shannon says: I don’t know, August is rough. So I Googled, as anyone lost for a solution would do. And I found out that August 1 was “National Girlfriend Day”. But girlfriend meaning “best friends who are girls”, not romantic girlfriend. So… I decided you shall pick a book that you’ve heard has a great friendship! ANY kind of friendship- doesn’t matter who is involved. Two people, lots of people, any gender, doesn’t matter to me! As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!) up to $17 value.
