This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
I’m pretty much back on track with NaNo this week. I still have a little bit to make up but not enough to stress about. I still don’t expect to actually finish the novel by the end of November, but I should get my 50,000 words in and have enough momentum to keep going!
Of course, keeping up with NaNo has made it hard for me to stay on top of reading and blogging, so sorry if I’ve been scarce this week! (And that’s the main reason this post is going up so late today!)
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog this past week:
- Serial Box: A New Way to Read? My Thoughts on The Fisher of Bones and ReMade…
- Introducing My 2017 NaNoWriMo Novel

That’s great you are back on track for Nano, and you definitely don’t need to finish the book to have done a good job. I say it every time, but I need to get back into my WIP. I’m getting there though!! 🙂
-Lauren
Hope you get back to writing soon!
How exciting that you are doing NaNo! I have always wanted to try it but for now I’ll stick to making Cover for books instead of writing them! 🙂
Good Luck!
Have a great week, Nicole! Happy Reading! ox

Good luck with Nana!!
Thanks, Samantha!
Glad you are doing well with NaNo. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Thanks, Grace!
I think I’ve given up on my NaNo for this year. My rewriting is kind of stalled. I’m just not feeling the story anymore. Plus, with going back to work part time, I think I’ve just not felt like spending time writing for a while. So glad you’ve been able to get back on track though! Good luck the next coming weeks!
Sorry you lost steam on your current book, Lisa. Hope you find time to pick it up again soon.
I’m glad you’re on-track with NaNo. I hope you have a great week!
Thanks, AJ!
Good luck with Nano and hope you have a fabulous holiday weekend (if you celebrate!).
Thanks! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!
Good luck with the rest of your writing for NaNo. You’ll make a significant dent in your novel!
Thanks, Charlie! The middle of the book is always the hardest!
Sometimes you have to prioritize blogging and other interests in your life. You are really close to being an actual writer, so I can totally understand that some blogging stuff is not happening for you right now. Good luck with your writing goals. Have a great week!
Yeah, I finally figured out that if I want writing to work I’ll have to let some other things go.
A lot of authors I love contributed to Meet Cute, but anthologies are hit or miss for me. I hope you love it though. I need to get to Whichwood too. Love Mafi and adored Furthermore. Need to get to it soon.
I don’t always love anthologies either, but I just had to give this one a try.
Wishing you lots of look with Nano!! And I can’t wait to see your thoughts on JLA’s story in Meet Cute!
I’m looking forward to JLA’s specifically!
Way to go on NaNo, Nicole! You can do it, I have faith in you 🙂
Have a wonderful week and happy reading / writing 😉
Thanks, Lexxie> I think I’m going to manage to hit 50,000 words!
Yay for being back on track with NaNoWriMo! I never actually finish a book in November, but I do tend to get in the 50k. That’s the important part.
Yeah, I knew I wouldn’t manage to finish, but the 50k goal was huge for me.
Congrats on getting back on track with nano. That is great!
Thanks!!
