I’m a day late with this one, but I decided to post it anyway. This is the last post of the Top 10 of 2017 Event, which was hosted over at Kimberlyfaye Reads.
TOP TEN BOOKS I’M LOOKING FORWARD
TO IN 2018
I’m only including books from the first half of the year because I could easily come up with 10, just from those first six months. These are listed in order of release date.
1. The True Queen by Sarah Fine
If I hadn’t done this post, I actually wouldn’t have even realized that this book was being released tomorrow!! I loved the first two books in this series—how could I have missed this last one’s release?
2. Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman
Um, this is Neal Shusterman. Do I have to say more?
3. Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
I didn’t know until relatively recently (within the past few months, at least) that we were getting more books by this team, but I am on board!!
More Than We Can Tell by Brigid Kemmerer
I’ve been a LONG time fan of Kemmerer, and her last contemp was amazing!
5. Lake Silence by Anne Bishop
I adore Anne Bishop, and I can’t wait to see where she goes with this new chapter in The Others saga.
6. Dread Nation by Justina Ireland
I read the blurb for this one and knew I had to have it!
Okay, what I’m really looking forward to is the yet untitled third book in the series, but this will tide me over!
8. Allied by Amy Tintera
Another finale to a series I love!
9. Legendary by Stephanie Garber
As you can see, most of the books I’m truly looking forward to are sequels.
10. City of Bastards by Andrew Shvarts
Another sequel to a book I loved!!
BONUS! A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews
In case you didn’t realize, this is Cait from Paper Fury‘s first book to be published. I’m so excited to read it!! It doesn’t have a cover yet, but it’s being released in the first half of the year, so I’m including it.
What books are you looking forward to in 2018? I want to know!
Hmm…Books I’m looking forward to in 2018…The Testament of Loki, the next Invisible Library book, and A Thousand Perfect Notes. With all the new release posts I’m reading that’s soon to increase! :’)
I know, these posts can be truly hazardous to the TBR!
More Than We Can Tell is one I am excited for!!
I got my hands on an ARC of that one and I was so excited!
I’m curious about Cait’s book! And yes, I need Thunderhead!!
-Lauren
I already pre-ordered Cait’s book from The Book Depository!
I have declared this new year as the year I’m going back to read my fav Sarah Fine and when I finally read the Others. The year here I stop being that odd bookworm LOL so I’ll be so looking forward to your all these reviews but especiallyTrue Queen and Lake Silence
Can’t wait for both of them!!
I still need to read Scythe. I own it, so it will get read eventually. I hope you get a chance to read all these!
You know how I love Shusterman, so definitely go read it!!
For me, I’m looking forward to Legendary and Daughter of a Siren Queen for the first couple of months.
So many good books!!
REading Unearthed right now and really enjoying it!
I ordered the PageHabit January Quarterly box, which has Unearthed in it. I just got charged for it today, and I’m excited to get it!!
More Than We Can Tell and Lake Silence are two that I am very excited for this year!
I just got approved for Lake Silence and just about jumped up and down!
So excited for Rev’s story, cannot wait to revisit the world of Caraval, and eager to see what Tintera has in store for the ending of The Ruined. Hope we love them all.
There are so many books to look forward to!!
I tried to do the same for our TTT post for most anticipated releases for 2018. We have too many and keeping it to the first 6 months makes it a tad bit easier lol! Out of your list I’m most excited for More Than We Can Tell by Brigid Kemmerer. I loved, loved, loved her book from last year and I’ve been dying to read Rev’s book. I’m hoping to start that ARC in the next week or so, can’t wait!
6 months is much more reasonable!
I’m liking all of the sequels I am seeing on this list! I hope you’ll be able to get around to all of them in the coming year and enjoy them all too x
Sequels are my downfall, but I WILL read them this year!
