Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 11/3/19

Posted November 3, 2019 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 30 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Lots of activities for the kids right now. Danielle is finishing up her swim season and then she’ll be moving on to gymnastics.

Noah just competed in his final soccer tournament for the “unified” team (where kids with special needs play with a few kids without special needs on the team), but he’s still playing floor hockey and they’re moving on to basketball as well (the Special Olympics is great because they get to play so many different things—it’s 7 different sports throughout the school year!).

Meanwhile, I’ve still been driving Jade to her classes at the local community college. She just sent in her application for the Illinois Institute of Technology for next year!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:

Birthday-150 Blogoversary-150x150

Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries for this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, it’s easy! Just fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)

Book Haul:

For Review:

Casper Tock and the Everdark Wings by Abi Elphinstone was a surprise from Simon & Schuster! That gorgeous cover was illustrated by Petur Antonsson. And then I received two Catwad graphic novels by Jim Benton from Graphix!

I also received a surprise graphic novel—Becoming RBG: Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s Journey to Justice by Debbie Levy, illustrated by Whitney Gardner. I was fascinated by the idea of a graphic novel biography of RBG, so I ended up reading it right away and I loved it! Watch for my review! (Thanks so much to Simon & Schuster for this one!)

Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:

Catwad looks like someone I would love. Your daughter, Danielle, inspires me with her athletic endeavors. She never stops! Wow! And, Noah is busy and Jade is taking college classes. So many good things going on in your family.

    • Shameless self-promotion is encouraged around here! LOL! Sorry I’m WAY behind on comments—typically, when someone comments with a giveaway, I add it to my list, but obviously I’m way late for that this time. Feel free to mention a giveaway in the Sunday Post comments anytime!!

7 different sports throughout the school year?! Oh my goodness that is so amazing! I’m so happy for him! And I’m thinking happy thoughts for Jade getting into the college she wants *fingers crossed*. Ohhh that Catwad book looks fun, my youngest is obsessed with books about cats. We finished Catstronauts:Race to Mars (I think I spelled that right) and he loved it….it’s a graphic novel that is super adorable.
