The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
If you’re visiting, then thanks for ignoring my SSL certificate issue. I contacted my hosting provider about it, so hopefully it will be taken care of soon. Because of that issue (and because I’m getting this up late once again) I’m going to post a truncated Sunday Post this week.
- Christmas decorating. We finally got our decorations up yesterday. Little last-minute, but at least it’s done!
- Church stuff. I’ve been really busy the last few weekends with church (which is why these posts keep going up late). Today on served on the worship team and then helped out at a Christmas event for kids.
- Writing. I got a lot done on my editing this week. I think I’m on track to finish everything by the end of the year.
- Cybils reading. We had to choose our finalists for the Poetry category of the Cybils this week, so I finished up my reading and then we had our discussions.
- What I Read:
- For the Cybils, I read The Magical Imperfect by Chris Baron and We Are the Ashes, We Are the Fire by Joy McCullough.
- I’m still listening to Our Violent Ends by Chloe Gong.
- What I Watched:
- I watched a couple of different random baking competetition shows. I’m having trouble switching away from the mindless entertainment. (I did watch one more episode of Squid Games, but that was it.)
- Our whole family watched A Boy Called Christmas, which is based on Matt Haig’s book of the same title. I remembered that I really enjoyed the book, and the movie was quite fun as well.
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Yes, I was glad that I actually did manage to get those revisions to my agent! Now, we’ll see what happens…
This is always a busy time of year if you’re involved in the church! Glad to see you all are doing well, though. <3

Oh, I’m really sorry that I got behind on my comments again over the last half of December and I didn’t see this until it was too late! I hope you had a good turnout for the giveaway!
I’m happy to hear your writing is going well. I wish you a wonderful holiday!
Thank you!!
We’ve had our decorations up for a while but only because my daughter put them up. lol
Glad you got yours up too.
I think if my daughter wasn’t around, we’d barely do any decorating at all. She’s definitely the one pushing for it. 🙂
Glad you got the SSL issue worked out. I had come here for the discussion challenge and saw there was something wrong. Yeah for getting so much done. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Yeah, the blog had that SSL problem for far too long. Oops!
I haven’t watched any Christmas movies yet.
Wishing you a great reading week & a merry Christmas 🎄
Did you ever manage to watch any Christmas movies? I hope you enjoyed whatever you watched!
You have been busy! Even if the decorations are late at least they’re up now! Enjoy them!
Yeah, who knows when we’ll manage to take the decorations down now. 🙂
Yay so glad to hear you’re on track with your writing! Wishing you all the best of luck to finish this by the end of the year. I hope you’ll have a lovely holiday season! <3
I didn’t quite get done by the end of the year, but I did hit the goal yesterday, so I wasn’t far behind!
yeah, I’ve had trouble watching much more than mindless tv lately. It takes a lot for me to be in the mood to watch something that I can’t be on my phone or reading during right now. Ugh. It’s even kind of kept me from going to the movies. And I haven’t gotten around to commenting like I should, as you can see from how late I’m commenting on this post. lol
I find that mindless TV is pretty much all I can handle lately!
Would you join a baking competition show?
