Last week on FYFA (and in my life):
Not much posted this week because I was hard at work writing a play for my musical theatre homeschool co-op class. I don’t know why I got the idea into my head to write one myself – how do I get myself into these things!? (Well, actually I do know how I got the idea into my head – I wanted to just use regular contemporary Christian songs instead of the kids’ choir songs in the plays we’ve been using.) Of course, I procrastinated good and hard before jumping into writing the play. I still need to go back and do some editing, but it’s done! (Now, hopefully I won’t wimp out and decide it’s not good enough to use!)
Anyway, here’s what you may have missed last week:
- November Discussion Challenge Link-Up and Giveaway
- The Book of Ivy and The Revolution of Ivy by Amy Engel (Review & Engel’s Top Ten Addictions)
- Forget Tomorrow by Pintip Dunn (Review & Dunn’s Top Ten Addictions)

Sometimes I think I must be a little loopy, but it’s all good stuff! 🙂
Nicole, thanks for linking up to my ICON 40 post. Convention volunteering is a lot of fun. I would encourage others to seek out events like ICON in their area and help out!
Have a wonderful week.
You’re welcome – I love reading about bookish events and yours was a unique perspective on one!
I think that’s awesome that you wrote a play, its even more amazing you had the time to do that and upkeep the blog! I think I probably would go nuts trying to keep up myself. Heh anyway, looking forward to your reviews next week.
Well, who said I didn’t go nuts? LOL! I’m used to a little nuttiness by now. 🙂
Oh, how fun about writing a play! I hope you do use it – I think that would be fun for the kids. 🙂
I think I will use it. Just have those moments of doubt, you know. Can’t avoid them!
You should feel proud of writing a play. That is something incredible. Life can get busy at times.
