From the author of Queen of Hearts comes the much anticipated sequel to Wendy Darling.
Wendy Darling: Seas finds Wendy and Michael aboard the dreaded Sudden Night, a dangerous behemoth sailed by the infamous Captain Hook and his blood-thirsty crew. In this exotic world of mermaids, spies and pirate-feuds, Wendy finds herself struggling to keep her family above the waves. Hunted by the twisted boy who once stole her heart and struggling to survive in the whimsical Neverland sea, returning home to London now seems like a distant dream - and the betrayals have just begun.
Will Wendy find shelter with Peter's greatest enemy, or is she a pawn in a much darker game, one that could forever alter not only her family's future, but also the soul of Neverland itself?
I was hoping to be able to post a review for this book, but I just couldn’t get to it in time with all of the craziness of September. Still, this series sounds like so much fun that I just had to feature it anyway and spotlight Colleen’s Fall Favorite Thing!
As an added bonus, I’m running a giveaway for my ARC copy of the book. I plan to review this series at some point in October, so keep your eye out for the review!
About the Author:
Colleen Oakes is the author of books for both teens and adults, including the Elly in Bloom Series, the Queen of Hearts Saga (Harper Collins 2016), and the Wendy Darling Saga. She lives in North Denver with her husband and son and surrounds herself with the most lovely family and friends imaginable. When not writing or plotting new books, Oakes can be found swimming, traveling or totally immersing herself in nerdy pop culture. She currently at work on another fantasy series and a stand-alone YA novel.
Colleen’s Fall Favorite Thing:
Colleen, like the rest of us, LOVES a good fall read. Let’s be real, there is nothing like sitting in front of the fire place with a glass of hot apple cider reading and an amazing YA book. Her fall favorite thing is a gift card to Barnes & Noble! And she also loves this Wendy Darling inspired Seaglass Yankee Candle. Not only does it match the cover of the book, but it also goes along perfectly with the seas theme!

Oh yes, I love re-tellings! One of my favorites is Peter pan ♡ Thank you
I love retellings. My favorite retellings are based on beauty and the beast.
I do love retellings. I really loved Colleen Oakes retelling of Alice in Wonderland minus Alice in Red Queen. I haven’t started this series, but I am sure the author did an amazing job with it.
I love retellings and why I’m excited for this book is becasue Peter Pan retellings are my favorite. I read the Peter and the Starcatchers series and had to buy all the books because I loved them so much. Then I read The Neverland Wars and loved that too. And now it will have a sequel!
I do like retellings if they take a different spin on the story. Ella by Peaslee is the most recent one I liked.
