There are TONS of preorder deals right now, it seems!
Oh, I’m so jealous you got to meet Laini! I love her Daughter of Smoke and Bone books and I REALLY need to get Strange the Dreamer.
-Lauren
I’m loving Smoke and Bone too—I’m currently listening to the last book and I’ve been hooked the entire time!
Congrats on meeting Laini Taylor! And you’re reviewing Defy the Stars this week- yay. I just saw Shannon’s mini- review and I think I want that one! Looks good.
Have a fabulous week Nicole!
The Laini Taylor event was really fun—I’m so glad I’m lucky enough to have a lot of authors come out my way!
Wow. you got some great deals. I just got an Amazon Gift Card and going to go check out my wish list. I love to meet authors too. Met a few and they were sweet and funny. How awesome you got to meet her and get the book signed. I keep all of my signed ones. Have a great week and thanks for visiting my post.
Yay for Amazon gift cards! Hope you found something great!
Thanks for sharing the picture. How cool to get to meet the author. I’ve read the book, and heard it was awesome on audio.
I’ve heard fantastic things about Strange the Dreamer—I’m excited to read it!!
Great post. Thanks for the preorder list and the giveaways. Glad you could meet Laini Taylor. Her book has been on my TBR for a while but I haven’t been able to purchase it. I’ve heard lots of great things about it. I’m planning to purchase one day. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great week and happy reading. 😀
I have to confess that I ignored Laini Taylor for a long time. Then I finally listened to her Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy and realized that I’ve been missing out!
It’s cool that you got to meet Laini Taylor. I really need to read one of her books. I read a few pages of one for a lecture I attended, and I loved her writing style. So many books, so little time.
She has a gorgeous writing style—it definitely got me hooked!
How awesome that you were able to meet Laini Taylor! I just love author events. I’ve actually never read her DoSaB series. The only thing I’ve read from her is her short story that was included in the My True Love Gave to Me anthology. And, to be honest, it my my least favorite of the 12 stories. *cringe* It was just so… out there… and made me wonder if her writing just isn’t for me. I still own the DoSaB books so maybe I’ll still give them a try at some point.
Hope your week is off to a great start, Nicole!
I haven’t read MTLGtM, but sorry you didn’t love Taylor’s story in it. Her stories are a bit out there in the fantasy realm, but I find myself LOVING them. Might be hard with a short story, though, because you don’t have enough time to truly establish a lot of things.
Hi, Nicole! Thanks for visiting my blog! I’m so sorry it took me so long to answer and visit your blog. Actually one of my friends made a link to you wonderful A Book Blogger’s Guide to Acronyms, Terms and Slang back in February, and I followed your blog right away. I like your writing style and it looks like our tastes in books are similar. I had all intentions to be a regular visitor, but real life took me away. I’m currently taking my PhD program and unfortunately my blogging time will be limited until summer.
I’m so jealous of my US friends who can meet authors. I haven’t read Daughter of Smoke and Bone Series yet and I want to do it in audio format. I’m glad to hear you are enjoying it. Do you listen to a lot of audiobook? I’m a big fan, I even have audiobook related feature on my blog Audio Obsession.
Have a great week!
I would imagine that a PhD program would eat up pretty much any and all spare time. No worries! As you can see, I’m late in responding myself. Blogging sometimes has to take a backseat to life!
You met Laini! How cool! I hope you have a great week!
It was very fun!
I got to meet Laini Taylor a few years ago when the sequel to Daughter of Smoke and Bone came out. She is so nice! I loved your post on about what you’ve told people about blogging was wrong, I got a few chuckles out of it. Have a great week!
It was a really fun event—Laini has such a sunny personality. You can just tell she’s a fun person to hang around with.
