Welcome to the April monthly link-up for the 2018 Book Blog Discussion Challenge hosted by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction and Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight!
Oh hi friends! Happy spring! (Or fall, if you’re from the southern hemisphere!) Hope you guys are having an awesome 2018 so far. We’re enjoying the heck out of your discussions, so keep ’em coming!
The winner of our February discussion challenge link-up was AJ @ Read All the Things! She was able to choose any book by a black author, and picked Allegedly by Tiffany Jackson. Hope you love it, AJ!
If you don’t know what this challenge is all about or haven’t signed up yet (but want to), head on over to the challenge sign-up page to learn more!
Even if you’d rather not join, we hope you’ll stop by occasionally to check out the MANY discussion posts that are being linked up here – there’s lots of great discussions going on!
We’re no longer giving discussion ideas each month (because not that many people seemed to need them), BUT you can check out our list of the topics we’ve suggested over the past two years if you need some inspiration. There are LOTS of ideas there, and I’m sure you’ll find one you love!
Looking for even more inspiration, or want to see some discussion posts as an example? Check out the discussion posts on Feed Your Fiction Addiction or It Starts at Midnight!
Featured Blogger
This month’s featured blogger (as chosen by Shannon & random.org) is Kym @ All The Diversity!
Kym has had some awesome discussions, and here are a couple that I really enjoyed:
- Kym talks about the dreaded but well-known reading slump
- She asks if it is wrong to judge books we haven’t read– this one was super thought provoking!
(Commenting on any of Kym’s posts will give you extra entries in the giveaway, by the way—if you already commented on them when they went up originally, that counts too!)
I couldn’t think of anything great for April so… you can pick any book that is part of a series! First book, last book, novella, companion, matters not!
As always, the giveaway is open to anyone that The Book Depository ships to (or, if TBD doesn’t ship to you, you could choose an ebook!) up to $17 value.
Make sure to link up all of your April discussion posts here. This linky and the April giveaway will be open until May 7th (to give people a little extra time to link up – just in case you’re disorganized like we are). If, by some chance, you forget to link up a post this month, you can add it to next month’s linky (but no duplicates, please).
Go forth and discuss!

those discussions about judging books we haven’t read are the best so off to check Kym’s post!
I really loved that post!
So, I’ve got three or four ideas for discussion posts this month. I just have to find the time to type up the posts! I’m planning to probably go to the library and do some writing and blogging away from the dogs tonight. So maybe I’ll get one done tonight. Hoping to post a wrap-up for so far this year on Saturday, and maybe Sunday I’ll do the discussion post.
Time. I need the time for EVERYTHING (like replying to comments, which I’m obviously crazily behind on). Hope you find some!
