Sunday Post: Book Pre-order Campaigns & Giveaways Galore – 12/1/19

Posted December 1, 2019 by Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction in Sunday Post / 22 Comments

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

I hope everyone here in the States had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We had a great day—my brother and sister-in-law have been staying with us for a while, so we had a full house, always nice for the holidays.

Can you believe it’s December? I cannot believe it’s December. It feels almost surreal to me. I’ve been keeping myself busy with a new editing project, and of course Christmas shopping, which I do mostly from my family room chair. Black Friday is only an online thing for me. Do you guys venture out on Black Friday? I used to, but it’s been years.

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

I hate shopping in stores, but it’s still a necessary evil for certain items. Some day all those wonders from the Jetsons will be a reality and we won’t have to leave our homes at all.

  2. I’ve never gone out on Black Friday, but I do shop online. Black Friday is when I get most of my Christmas shopping done. Then I just have to hope it gets here before Christmas. The gifts don’t always make it in time.

    • I used to go out on Black Friday when the kids were little. In fact, my mom and I would go really early to Toys R Us to stand in line and get the fantastic deals that you had to be there really early for. It was actually sort of a fun experience back then. But these days, I can’t handle it anymore, and most of the deals are online too anyway. I shop from my couch. 🙂

  3. I’ve done actual Black Friday shopping in the past with a friend, but it was more for fun than anything. These days I mostly do online shopping! I’m glad you had a nice Thanksgiving, and yes, it’s insane that it’s December already!

  4. It sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving! My mother-in-law came out to visit, so we had a full house also. I’ve also been doing armchair shopping this weekend. I don’t need the Black Friday deals, so I try to stay out of the way so the people who do need them can get them. Cyber Monday, though? I’m all in.

I love it, you’re the same as me. I mainly do all of my Christmas shopping sitting at our kitchen table with my laptop lol. Although usually my mom, Aunt and I venture out on black Friday. But it’s always around 10/11am and it’s more to look at all the pretty stuff in the stores and get some presents that we wouldn’t have gotten with our online shopping. And of course a nice warm lunch at Olive Garden. It’s usually just a nice relaxing day but this year we were just too busy with other stuff to do that.
