The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
- Honestly, I don’t remember what I did this week. Not much? I did get to go back to volunteer at Bernie’s Book Bank again, which was nice. Today, we’re driving Jade back to school. The rest of the week was spent reading and watching TV/movies…
- What I Read
- I finished reading Across the Desert by Dusti Bowling and also read Ain’t Burned All the Bright by Jason Reynolds and Jason Griffin, Tiger Honor by Yoon Ha Lee, and Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier. Then I started reading Inkling by Kenneth Oppel.
- I finished listening to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by Victoria Schwab. Loved this book!!!
- What I Watched:
- Danielle and I are still watching season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m so happy that this show is living up to my memories of it. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love it all these years later, but I still wanted to watch it for nostalgia’s sake.
- Since the kids didn’t have school on Monday, we watched FOUR movies last Sunday and Monday. We went to go see Sing 2, which we really enjoyed, and then we watched the first two newer Spiderman movies so we could see No Way Home in the theater. I actually think I liked the first two movies better, but we liked all of them. That’s more movies than we’ve watched in a very long time all stuffed into one weekend!
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Haul:
For the Cybils:
Weirdly, this week I received a copy of Red, White, and Whole by Rajani LaRocca for Cybils judging. Luckily, I had managed to get a copy for review via interlibrary loan when I actually needed it, since my round of judging has been over for quite some time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy to get the book because I loved it. So I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth. 🙂

I’m glad you liked Addie LaRue! It was one of my favorites last year. I hope you have a great week.
Loved it! I’m so glad I finally read it!
You got through a lot of books last week (and a lot of movies). It’s great when something you loved holds up years later, but in my mind, Buffy was such a fantastic show.
days and weeks seem to run together for me, but we did have some visitors. we sat outside on the patio and mr wonderful served us. i am soooo lucky to have such a ‘wonderful’ guy
You got a lot accomplished! It’s important to spend that time with family. Glad to hear you loved Addie Larue as I did so much.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Buffy The Vampire Slayer was always one of my favorite shows when it was on.
I’ve never seen Buffy but that’s so cool it’s living up to your memories on rewatch!
Buffy is still one of my all time favorite shows to watch! I feel like I’m due for a rewatch of that soon!
Nice new read! That’s a new to one but I hope you will enjoy it!
Here’s my StS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
My daughter was getting on me the other day about not yet reading Ghosts. She really liked it. I am looking forward to seeing No Way Home when it comes out in streaming. I hope you have a great week!
So many blogs mention Schwab’s, glad you liked it.

That’s good you took a break last week. We need them sometimes. And spending time with your kids is important. They grow up so fast.
I miss watching Buffy! There was a time we had a group blog dedicated to the whole thing. Happy reading week!
So glad to hear you still enjoy Buffy just as much!
I haven’t watched BtVS recently but I own the whole series. I think it’s held up pretty well.
I haven’t tired Addie LaRue yet. Her books are 50/50 for me and I’ve heard mixed reviews. I think I might try it on audio though.
Karen @For What It’s Worth
I enjoyed Addie LaRue too. A great book!
Ooh, I need to participate in the Support Book Bloggers Challenge! I just emailed myself the link so I won’t forget! I really need to rewatch the Buffy series. I had started rewatching Supernatural, but was kinda bored with the beginning. If I remember right, it did take me a few to get into it. I think I finally watched the episode I remember the most as when I first started. Sorry I’m so late posting on this, my last two weeks have been crazy! Hope you’re having a good week this week!
haven’t seen Buffy
