Sunday Post header

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

  • Honestly, I don’t remember what I did this week. Not much? I did get to go back to volunteer at Bernie’s Book Bank again, which was nice. Today, we’re driving Jade back to school. The rest of the week was spent reading and watching TV/movies…
  • What I Read
    • I finished reading Across the Desert by Dusti Bowling and also read Ain’t Burned All the Bright by Jason Reynolds and Jason Griffin, Tiger Honor by Yoon Ha Lee, and Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier. Then I started reading Inkling by Kenneth Oppel.
    • I finished listening to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by Victoria Schwab. Loved this book!!!
  • What I Watched:
    • Danielle and I are still watching season 2 of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I’m so happy that this show is living up to my memories of it. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting to love it all these years later, but I still wanted to watch it for nostalgia’s sake.
    • Since the kids didn’t have school on Monday, we watched FOUR movies last Sunday and Monday. We went to go see Sing 2, which we really enjoyed, and then we watched the first two newer Spiderman movies so we could see No Way Home in the theater. I actually think I liked the first two movies better, but we liked all of them. That’s more movies than we’ve watched in a very long time all stuffed into one weekend!

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

Book Haul:

For the Cybils:

Weirdly, this week I received a copy of Red, White, and Whole by Rajani LaRocca for Cybils judging. Luckily, I had managed to get a copy for review via interlibrary loan when I actually needed it, since my round of judging has been over for quite some time. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy to get the book because I loved it. So I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth.  🙂

  1. Ooh, I need to participate in the Support Book Bloggers Challenge! I just emailed myself the link so I won’t forget! I really need to rewatch the Buffy series. I had started rewatching Supernatural, but was kinda bored with the beginning. If I remember right, it did take me a few to get into it. I think I finally watched the episode I remember the most as when I first started. Sorry I’m so late posting on this, my last two weeks have been crazy! Hope you’re having a good week this week!
