The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.

This past week on FYFA (and in my life):

Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates! We had a very nice weekend, even though I did have to work. I drove to Purdue on Friday to pick up Danielle so she was able to celebrate the holiday with us. It was a gorgeous day on Friday, so it was also a great day to walk around campus a bit and enjoy the day out there.

I’ve also still been working on my author website. It will go live at the very end of the month!

What I Read This Week:

  • I read Mirror to Mirror by Rajani LaRocca – a fantastic verse novel! Then I read Write Your Novel from the Middle, a writing craft book that I learned about when I went to the SCBWI conference in February. It’s excellent, and a great short read (that’s still very helpful!).
  • I finished listening to Firekeeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley. Really enjoyed this book! Then I started listening to Two Degrees by Alan Gratz, a book that’s packed with non-stop excitement.

What I Watched:

  • I watched the newest episodes of American Idol.
  • My entire family (except Danielle, who was at Purdue at the time) went to see Honor Among Thieves. Since we’ve been playing D&D together lately, the movie was great fun, but I think it would be a good movie for anyone, even if you don’t play.

Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:

  1. That’s great that Danielle came home for the holidays. I’ll have to check out Write Your Book From the Middle. And I want to see Honor Among Thieves. Glad you liked it.

  2. Oh nice! Glad you enjoyed the movie! I was just talking with my cousin yesterday about how I haven’t been to the actual movies in ages! Pre Covid actually! We were talking about upcoming movies that looked good and such.

Hope you have a great week ahead!

  3. I loooooove James Scott Bell. Fun fact, Write Your Novel From The Middle is what finally cracked open storytelling for me. The lightbulb went off and I was off to the races. I wrote JSB a fan mail after reading that book and he responded! A wonderful moment for me.
