Last week on FYFA (and in my life):
This past week. I continued to work on my NaNoWriMo book. There have been some great moments, and some moments where I feel majorly stuck. I have so much respect for authors – writing a book is hard! Right now, I’m at just over 25,500 words and I’m still plugging away!
The past couple of weeks have been frustrating technologically because I’ve had some problems with my blog – issue with my hosting company’s servers caused the blog to be down some and I kept getting 404 errors for some reason. I think I have all of these issues ironed out, but it’s made getting things up more complicated!
Here’s what you may have missed this past week:
- Captured Love by Juliana Haygert (excerpt & giveaway) – Still time to enter to win a $20 gift card and a signed paperback of Haygert’s Playing Pretend!
- One Wish Away by Kelley Lynn (review & giveaway) – Still time to enter to win one of two $10 gift cards!
- Whisper to Me by Christina Lee (review)
- Let’s Discuss – Why I Can’t Choose a Favorite (of Anything!)
- The Walled City by Ryan Graudin (review)
Next week on FYFA:
- Paranormal Keepers by Jen Naumann (review & giveaway)
- The Vault of Dreamers by Caragh M. O’Brien (review & giveaway)
- Promise Me This by Christina Lee (review)

Hosting and blog issues can be so annoying. I had some issues with me hitting the resource limits for my sites with my hosting provider and it just takes so much time trying to figure things out and fix them.
Good luck with your NaNoWriMo book. I agree writing a book is hard. Just keep writing and before you know it you have a book!
Thanks for the NaNoWriMo encouragement! It’s definitely been a struggle to keep up at times, but I’m happy with my progress overall. Like you say, I just have to keep plugging away.
OOh nice! Those are all new to me! Hope you enjoy each and every one of them!

Thanks, Jessica!
Ugh, I hate when things go wrong with my blog – it’s so inconvenient and kind of stressful :/ I hope everything stays okay from now on. On a happier note, nice haul! I hope you enjoy all of your books and that NaNoWriMo keeps going well!

Yes, technical issues are so incredibly frustrating! Luckily my husband’s a techie, so he helps me a lot.
Glad the server errors are resolved. Woot you are doing great on the writing! Hope this week is perfect for you 🙂
I also did a Sunday post, but it wasn’t as book related as it should’ve been! Haha, oh well. It’s so awesome you’re doing camp Nanowrimo! I’ve always wanted too, just haven’t had the time.
Super glad I found your blog! New follower (:

Oh, blog issues are just the WORST. Because I mean, you have no control. There is nothing you can do to fix it, and I know I go completely stir crazy when it happens. I am glad things are better now though!
Sounds like you are doing an amazing job with NaNo too! Impressive! I basically called it quits, because it was just stressing me out and I was getting so mad at myself. It didn’t seem constructive anymore. I hope I’ll have more time to do it another year. Keep up the great work 🙂
Your books look great too, I hope you enjoy and have a great week!
Server errors are a bummer. Glad those are fixed. Nice haul BTW 🙂

Awesome job on NaNoWriMo, you’re past the halfway mark now, you can do it!! I’m sorry to hear about your blog problems; it stresses me out to no end whenever mine isn’t cooperating. Thanks for the shout out to my love triangles discussion post, I appreciate it. Time to rock-out another week!
Wow! That is a great achievement! Go you writing a book, I don’t think I could!

Good luck with your NaNoWriMo WIP! 🙂 I’ve never tried that yet, but I do understand getting into writer’s blocks and writing slumps. I write fanfiction and even that can be really hard! Just keep writing, and writing, no matter what the reason ^_^
