Last week on FYFA (and in my life):
Hello, everyone! Happy 2016! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s celebration. We had a low-key holiday at home, playing card and dice games with the family. Oh, and my son and I have been bonding over his new video game – Splatoon. I have found that I LOVE to watch him play – it’s given me something new to work out to, and it makes the time go by even faster than watching Once Upon a Time does. (And he loves the fact that he’s been sometimes getting extra electronics time so I can watch!) I can’t believe that next week is back to the normal routine – it’s been a crazy few weeks around here!

That’s really sweet that you and your son are bonding over a game! That’s a hard thing to bond over but it seems like you’ve found the perfect solution to it. 🙂
I’m looking forward to your review of The Impostor Queen and your discussion about replying to comments on older posts. The latter is such an interesting topic.
I hope you have a wonderful week, Nicole and happy reading!
Sounds like you had a great New Years’. Mine was pretty low key too. Just reading, takeout and football at home with my husband and my dog. It was pretty perfect. 🙂 Happy New Year!
Awesome haul. Looks like your New Years was interesting. I hope you love all of your new books.

Back to the daily grind pretty much sums up my week for next week! 🙂 I am reviewing the Impostor Queen too! Loved that one. Have a great week lady!
Sounds like a perfect New Year’s! I can’t believe we will be back to a normal schedule tomorrow. I feel so out of whack though so maybe it will be good to get back to it. Hope you enjoy your new books and have a great week!
Definitely lots of giveaways going on right now!! 🙂 Sounds like you are having a wonderful New Year so far. We had a super low-key New Year’s Eve too. Too tough with little ones to actually do anything… PLUS I feel old and was in bed by 11. LOL!! Have a wonderful weekend!
I love that you and your son are enjoying video game time together! Hold on to those sweet memories!! Happy new year!!! I hope 2016 is filled with much love, happiness, and reading!
I had a nice New Year’s Eve; went to dinner with my parents and sister and then my parents and me saw a movie. Pretty low-key, but it got us out and doing something.
Thanks for posting Alicia’s giveaway! Lots of fun goodies to win. 🙂

Yeah I did a whole lot of nothing for New Years! LOL! My mom went out with her BF, then my sister went to meet a guy she started talking to with a dating site, and then I basically stayed home to be there while my niece went to bed! But I did do dinner and movie before all that! So it wasn’t too terrible!
Oh nice! Those are new to me ones! Hope you enjoy both your new reads!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!

I had a great New Year’s, too! The man made it pretty spectacular. I’m now trying to talk him into the four fireworks shows on Coronado Island for 4th of July…:D
That is so cool that you and your son are sharing in his video game love. If it works, it works! I’m looking forward to what you have to say on replying to older comments. I know this applies to me!
Happy New Year! I hope you have an awesome 2016! 🙂
