Last week on FYFA (and in my life):
Not much new to say this week. My daughter’s been sick for the past few days, so we’ve seen about 4,000 episodes of Phineas and Ferb. Luckily, it’s a pretty cute show!
I posted two authors’ Top Ten Addictions lists this week. Make sure you check them out! I love these posts because they’re a quick and fun way to get to know a little bit about an author!
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog last week:
- Reviews of the Miso Cozy Series by S.J. Pajonas & Pajonas’s Top Ten Addictions
- Seven Days of You by Cecilia Vinesse – Review and Vinesse’s Top Ten Addictions
- My Haphazard Reading Habits. Let’s Discuss!
Next week on FYFA:
- London Bound by C.J. Duggan – Review
- Probably some other reviews?
- Let’s Discuss: Something bookish! 🙂

From NetGalley/Edelweiss:
I have yet to read a book by Emery Lord and I’ve heard so many amazing things about her, so I jumped at the chance to review The Names They Gave Us. And I loved Karole Cozzo’s last book, so when I saw that XPresso was organizing a tour for her latest, The Truth About Happily Ever After, I decided I had to sign up!
For Review:
I’m excited to be participating in the tour for Julie Buxbaum’s next book, What to Say Next. Thanks, Delacorte Press!
Gifted:
I got this handy dandy book light as a gift from Michelle over @ Hooked to Books for my birthday/blogoversary! It’s great because it has three different brightnesses and you can put the lights into just about any position. So incredibly sweet of Michelle to send it to me! Thank you!!

I’m looking forward to reading it!
Aw, sorry your daughter’s been sick. That’s the worst! That book light is so cute – I love that it has different light settings. I need to get a better one!
-Lauren
She’s finally feeling better. We actually got out to see the Beauty and the Beast movie today! 🙂
I hope your daughter is feeling better, Nicole!
You have some great new additions to your shelves this week, that book light is awesome sauce!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.
She’s finally feeling better, thanks!
Hope your daughter feels better! I am part of the tour for the Truth About Happily Ever After and so excited. Oh I am pumped for The Names They Gave Us (I have and need to get to) and What to Say Next (can’t wait for it to come out)!! Enjoy them and have a great week!!
I’m on the tour too—I couldn’t resist when I saw it was by Cozzo!
Aww, being sick is the pits, but at least P&F is an awesome show. Seriously, Cuzzo and Buxbaum. You are lucky. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
Yep, I’ve seen lots of Phineas and Ferb now and it’s definitely won me over. Even my husband likes it now!
I’m still totally a cartoon junkie myself! LOL! It’s what I tend to have on if I’m not really watching TV! But yet, I’m still picky about whatever cartoon I have on! LOL! Really wish they’d play more of the ones from the 90s that I watched growing up!
Hope you enjoy the new reads!! I looove the colors of The Names they Gave Us! Hope you enjoy all the new reads!
Here’s my STS
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
I have great memories of cartoons when I was a kid. There are a few that I’ve been enjoying with the kiddos nowadays.
I’ve been fighting a nasty one as well for most of the week, but thankfully, it’s cleared up considerably this weekend. I hope your daughter feels better soon!
I requested that latest Emery Lord but I got denied. *sobs* Looking forward to reading your thoughts on it.
Have a great week, Nicole!
So sorry you’re missing out on Emery Lord’s latest (for now). I’m eager to read her!
Hope your daughter feels better soon. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Emery Lord but I’ve never read any. I hope you enjoy your new books! Have a great week!

I’ve heard great things about her too. I’m eager to read this book!
Aw, I’m sorry to hear your daughter is sick. I hope she feels better soon! Thanks for having me on the blog this past week with my top 10 addictions. They were a lot of fun to write. 🙂
I loved reading them! It’s fun to learn little details about the authors we know and love! 🙂
I hope your daughter feels better soon. Have a great week!
Thanks, AJ! She’s finally recovered.
Very cool book light! Sorry your daughter is ill. That sucks!
I thought it was so sweet of Michelle to send me the book light. Super thoughtful!
Hope your daughter is feeling better and you’re enjoying your new books! I really need to check out Emery Lord. Happy reading (:
I constantly hear amazing things about Emery Lord, but this is my first foray into her writing.
I could really use a reading light like that, so I don’t frustrate my partner when I just can’t put my book down at night! 😉
Yes! It’s perfect for that.
Hope your little one is feeling much better by now, Nicole. I’m definitely excited for What To Say Next! I just recently listened to Tell Me Three Things on audio and enjoyed it so much. I’ve yet to read anything by Emery Lord (even though I have one of her book sitting on my bookshelf) so I’ll have to check out The Names They Gave Us. Thanks for the blogoversary mention! I can’t believe I actually forgot about it! LOL I’m heading out of town tomorrow so no time to do anything special but I’ll have to do something fun next week to celebrate. Giveaway time! 🙂
You’re not the first person to tell me that you forgot about your blogoversary until I mentioned it. 🙂 Enjoy your trip!
