Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is:
Top Ten 2018 Books I Totally Meant to Read
I know you guys are astonished that I’m posting a TTT two weeks in a row. I’m sort of flabbergasted myself. But I always like these end/beginning of the year posts, so I thought I’d join in again.
Here are ten (of the bajillion) books that released in 2018 that I really, really meant to read but then … didn’t.
What books did you miss out on in 2018? Are there any of these that I absolutely MUST read? I want to know!
I hope you enjoy all of these books once you get a chance to read them!
This is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
Thanks!
Great list!
Thanks for sharing, hope you enjoy your 2019 reads.
Happy TTT!
Thanks! Same to you!
Most definitely Thunderhead. And my list is to enormous to list.
It’s impossible to read all the wonderful books we’d like to!
I bought You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone and it still sits on top of my TBR pile next to my reading chair. It won’t go unread this year. I tried reading Leah on the Offbeat and just couldn’t get into it after reading Simon last year. I have left Obsidio unread for way too long.
I just put Leah on the Offbeat in my list of favorites on Hoopla so I will hopefully listen to it soon.
I really wanted to read Honor Among Thieves. But then other books came out and I never bought it. Maybe this year.
Happy readings! 😉
That happens with so many books. It’s impossible to get to them all!
More Than We Can Tell was good! I need to read Leah as well.
I love Kemmerer, so I don’t know why I haven’t read More Than We Can Tell yet (I own it, so….)
Seeing a lot of The Emerald Sea! I still need to read Midnight Jewel myself! As well as Thunderhead! Undead Girl Gang I just got a Christmastime so I can’t really count that one! Lol.
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower 🙂
Nice Christmas present! I was really excited about that one but never managed to pick it up.
Undead Girl Gang is one I didn’t feature on my list but it is one that I meant to read in 2018 but didn’t. I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them.
I REALLY wanted to read that one. Not sure why I didn’t.
I think I am going to read June’s last release, when her next one comes out. I really liked her debut, and do want to get to it at some point. I cried a lot of tears reading You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone. It was really emotional and good. Rev’s story was good. I loved learning more about him. And yeah, I own and unread copy of The Emerald Sea. *hides face in shame*
If you have to hide your face in shame for owning that one unread book, I’m in big trouble!
I absolutely loved More Than We Can Tell! I didn’t love it as much as Letters to the Lost but still, it was a fabulous story. Enjoy!
I got an ARC of it at an event (it was a random ARC that came in a bag), and I was so excited. And then for some reason I never read it. Sigh.
Wow this is like “Shannon’s 2018 Favorites”, now I shall throw them at you and yell READ! Especially Thunderhead, You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone, and Honor Among Thieves. And then, when you’re done, we’ll go ahead and tackle Emerald Sea together hahah.
I own all three of them (because of your recommendations—and, actually, I won Thunderhead from you), so I have no excuses. I will try my hardest to be a better book twin!
I still need to read Scythe and Thunderhead. I’ve heard so many great things about those books.
I loved Scythe, but I still haven’t gotten to Thunderhead. I’m trying to figure out when the third book is coming—I might wait until closer to then, depending on when it’s happening.
I loved Leah on the Offbeat! I will read anything Becky Albertalli writes!
That’s one that I definitely wanted to read last year. I don’t know why I never got to it.
Thunderhead is so good! I finally got a copy of Leah on the Offbeat, so I’m excited to read it. I need to read Undead Girl Gang, too.
I keep thinking that I re-listen to Scythe and then read Thunderhead, but I haven’t done it yet.
I NEED to read Thunderhead, and I’m really curious about Leah on the Offbeat too. There are always tons of books that come out, or even back list books, that I mean to read in a year and just…never do. haha

p.s. how did you make your image/collage?
I have a bunch of old digital scrapbooking templates that I often use for TTT posts, back from when I used to actually scrapbook my pics instead of just leaving them in folders in my computer (we do, at least, have a screen saver on our TV that shuffles through them—it’s a great way to enjoy old pictures). If you do a quick search for digital scrapbook templates, you’ll find a bunch of free ones you can download! I use Photoshop Elements (which I, again, still have from my scrapbooking days), but I think you could probably use other free photo software as well.
I will have to look into that! Thanks. 🙂
🙂
A lot of fantastic covers.
I agree!
I still need to read Scythe! I did a post like this as part of my Top 10 of 2018 posts. Could definitely have come up with more than 10, as I’m sure you could as well! You’ve got a few that are also sequels in series I need to start.
Oh, yes. This could have been a MUCH longer list!
I’m a big fan of Richelle Mead’s books but I haven’t read any of The Glittering Court series. Any good?
I really enjoyed the first two books! It’s interesting because the story is told from three different perspectives (one in each book), and there’s a little bit of overlap, but I never found myself feeling like anything was being rehashed.
I see Thunderhead! I hope you get to that one soon! It’s full of political intrigue
Now that I’ve waited so long, I’m debating waiting for the third book to come out. But I haven’t decided for sure.
Oh! More than we can tell & you’ll miss me when i’m gone is two id wanna read too!
Mmh, one of mine would be « reasons to stay alive » from Matt Haig for sure ..? and cant think of another from the top of my head ahah
If only we could read them ALLLLLLL!!!!
More Than We Can Tell was good! Hope you can get to it (and others!) Soon!
I definitely want to read that one.
Thunderhead was so good! Definitely get to that one in 2019. I just finished Dry and loved it.
I don’t know WHY I haven’t kept up with Shusterman’s books because I ADORE his writing. I honestly think he’s genius. There are just so many books to read!!
Those Schwab covers are so stylish that I must treat myself to one of the books, one day 🙂
Hope you love the read when you get to your copy!
I agree that Schwab’s books have a unique and arresting style!
I missed a lot, though I don’t often read books released in that year. Book programs I was a member of shut down, so I didn’t have that regular motivation going for me.
“Leah on the Offbeat” is definitely one I’ve been wanting to read, from your list of books!
It’s nice to be a backlist reader sometimes. That’s how I was before I was a blogger for sure, and there’s lots less pressure that way.
Undead Girl Gang is one I have heard a lot about, especially when it comes to the themes it handles and how fun it is. I did manage to read Leah on the Offbeat last yeah and I felt a bit mixed about it? I hope you get to read it this year and enjoy it though 🙂
I was SUPER excited for Undead Girl Gang and then somehow managed not to pick it up. I’ve heard a few mixed things about Leah, but I definitely still want to read it.
Leah on the offbeat was great. I still need to read Scythe, let alone Thunderhead haha.
I loved Scythe, so I have no idea why I haven’t picked up Thunderhead yet. (Actually, I do—time. I have review books and books I’m reading for my writing and … yeah, free time books don’t happen that often lately.)
I though Thunderhead was awesome, so I really hope you enjoy it when you get to it!
It’s high on my priority list for sure!
