This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
I had two different writer groups this week (one for SCBWI and one at my local library) and now this weekend I’ve been participating in WriteOnCon, which is an online kidlit (YA and under) writing conference. I’m in awe at the pure amount of content in this conference. If you’re a writer or interested in writing, you should definitely check it out because it’s super reasonably priced and you can access all of the sessions for the next week. I spent almost all day Friday on the site, and every spare minute yesterday on it and I’ve found so many of the sessions really helpful.
Tomorrow’s my birthday, and my husband got me a new iPhone, so I’m super excited to play with it! I also think my pictures will be a lot better with this new phone. We shall see!

Yeah, I was using an iPhone 6 (I don’t even think it was a plus?) and I was pretty happy with it except that I always got messages that I was out of storage space. Plus, the camera on this one is way better. Still, I wasn’t expecting a new one!

Is it sad that I think the thing I’m most excited about on my new phone is the improved camera? And more space—I was tired of getting messages that I was out of storage.
