The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on my blog and share news about what’s coming up in the week ahead.
This past week on FYFA (and in my life):
I don’t have time for a full Sunday Post this week, but I wanted to share a pupdate (puppy update)!
Meet the newest Hewitt, Digit!
He is the sweetest, most adorable puppy ever. And so far, he’s been a dream – a great mix of snuggly and playful. And he hasn’t had a single accident, which is … strange considering the fact he was raised in a literal barn (on a bed of hay). I’m sure we’re just in the honeymoon period, but I am loving every minute of it!
Here’s what you may have missed on the blog since my last Sunday Post:
- June 2020 Discussion Challenge Link-up and Giveaway!
- May 2020 Wrap-Up & Best of the Bunch
- Black Lives Matter – I shared some resources for Black-owned bookstores (and made a few purchases myself!)
Book Blogger Birthdays and Blogoversaries:
Here are the birthdays and blogoversaries for this week! I hope you’ll go wish these bloggers well on their special days! Make sure you check out the calendar to see what you might have just missed or what’s coming up. (If you want to be added to the calendar, it’s easy! Just fill out the birthday/blogoversary form.)
- June 12th – Jordan @ Heart of a Book Blogger‘s Birthday
Great Discussions/Goings On Around the Blogosphere:
- Davida @ The Chocolate Lady’s Book Review Blog shares why you shouldn’t include your full post in your emails in Tease Me to Please Me! I’ve been blogging for seven years and had no idea that I could break up my emails with a simple click!
- Maude @ Psyched About Books shares her experiences with Blogging when English isn’t your first language.
Pre-order Campaigns
I’ll update you on these and giveaways next week! For now, check out last week’s Sunday Post—most of the pre-order campaigns and some of the giveaways are still happening!
Oh my gosh, your new pup is the cutest! ♥
Thank you. I totally agree. 🙂
DIGIT! I am in LOVE with him! And the best part is, I get to look at the adorable pictures while you do all the actual work ? In seriousness, I am so glad it is going well! Congrats!

Your wish is my command. I will definitely be including plenty of pup pics in future Sunday Posts!
Thanks for the mention, and glad I could help. Anything to make our blogs easier for others to read and visit can’t be a bad thing, right?
So true!
Oh my gosh he is so freaking cute! And it is certainly strange how well things are going… but hey, that’s awesome! Lol. Please shower us with pics of him every now and then ? I think we all need some cuteness in our lives right now
I will definitely be sharing pics, don’t you worry. 🙂
Adorable puppy! And I love that you track/share birthdays and blogoversaries! Off to share birthday wishes now 😉 Have a great week!
I noticed in your Sunday Post that you said it’s your birthday next week—feel free to fill out my form (HERE to add yourself to my list so I can include you!!
Digit is so cute!!! How did you come up with the name? It’s super unique and I think fits him really well 🙂
Awww, thank you! My oldest is going away to college in the fall, and she’s a total (self-professed) math nerd. We thought it would be fun to give the pup a math-related name in her honor, but hypotenuse just doesn’t have the right ring to it. LOL! We all agreed that Digit is a fun number-related name. 🙂
Oh yay! I look forward to a regular pupdate subscription here! I’m so happy it is going well.
Ha! Yes, I’m sure I’ll be including puppy pics in my Sunday Posts for a good long time now.
OMG Digit is adorable and I can’t wait to see more pictures. I love the name as well!
Thank you!! We are completely in love!
Aww, he’s so cute! The first thing my dog did when I brought her home was pee on the floor, so you’re lucky. I hope you have a good week!
Hahaha! Yes, I think this is much more typical. He has now had one small accident, but I am still very impressed. He basically immediately pees when we put him out on the grass and he’s never gone inside his playpen (the one accident was when he was roaming “free” in the family room and he was just getting over the trauma of a bath). He also already sits for us to throw his toy for him—I’m kind of astounded!
Such an adorable pup! I hope you (eventually) transition out of the honeymoon phase without too much trouble!
I know it has to happen eventually, but I am pretty much blown away with how good he is. I’ve had two pups before, and I remember it being WAY harder than this!
They’re so smart though!!! Enjoy your new puppy!
Karen @ For What’ It’s Worth
I honestly thought that since he’s so young, it would take extra long to get him potty trained and to see any sort of progress on any other kind of training, but he seems to be exceptionally smart!! He’s caught onto everything way easier than the other two puppies we’ve raised.
I can’t seem to reply directly to your comment…but anyway.
Herding dogs are pretty smart anyway but I had one sheltie that was SO smart. He got bumped out of his puppy class after 2 weeks, then out of beginners class after another 2. He was in advanced obedience before his original puppy class had ended lol
He was kind of exhausting though. He rarely, if ever, got into trouble but wanted to learn CONSTANTLY.
Oh, wow! That’s really interesting. My daughter is really into training, so this is a perfect time for us to get a puppy. I’ve already been loving the little training we’ve been able to do.
Your puppy is SO ADORABLE!!!
Thank you so much! I’m quite in love with him. 🙂
Digit is adorable! Love the name too! Definitely deserving of a whole post just for him. 🙂
Ha! Yes, he did deserve this whole post just to himself. 🙂
